The Amazing Digital Circus is an independent animated web series from an Australian creator, writer, director, and artist who goes by the name “Gooseworx.” The series is produced by Glitch Productions, and follows a group of people trapped in a circus-themed reality. Within this simulation, humans are faced with a constant AI and their own trauma. It’s easy to see why such an idea would hold up in today’s day and age.
The pilot of this web series premiered on YouTube in October 2023, and became very popular, with more than 438 million views in June 2026. After the success, a full series was planned, and subsequent episodes were made available for streaming on Netflix, as well as on YouTube. The latest episode, Episode 8, “hjsakldfhl,” released only on YouTube (so far) in March 2026.
Now, fans of the series can watch Episode 8 on the big screen, combined with the yet-to-be-released episode, the hour-long Episode 9, to see. The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act in the movies. The “movie” was released by Fathom Events in June, and was originally scheduled to run for 4 days in theaters. But the huge numbers of pre-sold tickets made Fathom expand The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act until at least June 18, and increase the number of theaters it will play in from 900 to at least 1,800.
