LARRY KUDLOW: From General Jack Keane — 10 to 14 days to return to military duties

FOX Business host Larry Kudlow interviews President Donald Trump as he vows a response after Iran shoots down a US Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz on ‘Kudlow.’
Is now the time for the last kinetic military attack on the government of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran?
We know that President Trump prefers diplomacy and is trying to complete the Iranian surrender agreement. But today’s news that the president is blaming Iran for shooting down an Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz on Monday night could change things.
Here is the president’s Social Truth: “I was just informed by our Great Military that last night the Iranians shot down one of our Apache helicopters while patrolling the Strait of Hormuz.” He added: “There were two pilots involved, both are safe and injured. Nevertheless, the United States must, must, respond to this attack.”
By the way, the rescue operation of the central command of the helicopter pilots was a miracle. The downed pilots were rescued using an Unmanned Surface Vessel, on its maiden voyage. Our soldiers are absolutely amazing. Of course Iran has been breaking the deal left and right, hitting the US military, hitting the Gulf states, hitting Israel. Israel bombarded Kharg Island. There is a thought.
Sen. Dave McCormick, R-Pa., says the Trump administration should prioritize nuclear enrichment and opening the Strait of Hormuz in any deal with Iran in ‘Kudlow.’
I’m not here to second-guess the president who supports his bold intervention in Iran. But then you have to wonder when his diplomatic patience will run out. And you have to wonder if any deal with Iran was ever really a deal.
These radical Islamists and their Nazi-like regime do not know the world’s civilized definition of good and evil. They never stick to a deal. It is part of their ideology, it is part of their theocracy. It is part of their hatred for America and Israel.
So, what are you going to do Mr. Trump how to respond to the Iranian hit? We will do what General Jack Keane said last night: “Obviously the preferred option after eight weeks of frustration should be to go back to military operations for 10 days, 14 days, let’s finish this, put them in the most vulnerable position they’ve ever been in.”
This is certainly a front and center option on the table in front of Mr. Trump. And in addition, I want to quote General Keane again because he is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced patriots that we have, which is when they receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Here’s General Keane again from last night: “At the end of the day, I really believe what’s going to happen is we go after them and kill as many as we possibly can, capture some if we can, but remove all the instruments of tyranny from them once and for all. It’s probably a solution that has to come at some point.”
I am sure that Mr. Trump is considering all of this. This is about ending nearly half a century of brutal dictatorships in the Middle East. It is also about freedom and the freedom of all other countries in the Middle East, as well as our best friend and ally Israel. These are general values to strive for.
