Justin Theroux he respects his wife, Nicole Brydon Bloomon the first Mother’s Day after the birth of their baby boy.
“‘The sweetest work of art of the heart of God is the heart of a mother,'” Theroux, 54, wrote on Instagram on Sunday, May 10, quoting Thérèse of Lisieux. “Happy first mother’s day Nicole … you are a gift to us both. ❤️.”
Alongside the upload, Theroux shared a photo of himself holding Bloom’s belly before sharing a few photos with their baby.
Theroux and Bloom, 32, were first linked in February 2023. The couple got engaged the following year when he proposed while in Italy at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. In March 2025, Theroux and Bloom tied the knot in Mexico.
News broke in December 2025 that the couple was expecting their first child a few months after their wedding. Bloom confirmed her pregnancy that month when she popped her baby bump for the first time in season 2 It falls Los Angeles.
Later that month, Theroux and Bloom shared a glimpse of their honeymoon in Mexico.
“So sweet to revisit our favorite place with a little one on the way 🕊️👶🏼,” she captioned an Instagram post at the time.
In February, Bloom said she “always wanted to be a mother.”

“I love kids. I’ve always looked forward to this chapter in my life, and Justin certainly has, too,” Bloom said. The Hollywood Reporter at the time, noting that he was happy about the couple’s new chapter. “It’s going to have its challenges with going back to work and everything, but I’m very, very happy.”
Theroux and Bloom shared in April that they welcomed their first child, a boy. “You are here 🕊️ we love each other so much,” the two wrote in a joint post on Instagram at the time.
The couple received many messages of support from celebrities and a subtle reaction from Theroux’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, who “loved” the announcement. (Aniston and Theroux tied the knot in 2015 and divorced three years later. She is now dating hypnotist Jim Curtis.)
Days later, Theroux and Bloom walked the red carpet while attending the world premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 New York City. Theroux, meanwhile, portrays Emily Blunt’s on-screen boyfriend in the sequel.
