Jeff Bezos blasts Mamdani for outing billionaire Ken Griffin as a ‘scoundrel’ in viral video filmed outside NYC penthouse.

Jeff Bezos blasted Mayor Zohran Mamdani for casting billionaire Ken Griffin as a “corrupt person” in an outrageous video Hizzoner shot outside his Manhattan home announcing a new pied-à-terre tax last month.

The Amazon honcho ripped the 34-year-old democratic mayor by demonizing Griffin and filming outside the Citadel chief’s residence in a viral video.

“Ken Griffin is not a criminal,” Bezos told CNBC during a sit-down Wednesday. “He didn’t hurt anybody. He didn’t hurt New York. In fact, quite the opposite. And so that part of it is wrong. And there was no reason to do that.”

The billionaire, however, said he was “okay” with city officials imposing luxury fees on buildings worth more than $5 million across the Big Apple.

“On the other hand, it’s very good to have a policy debate about whether you want to have a pied-à-terre tax,” Bezos said before joining Mamdani for his video.

He emphasized that policy debates need not involve “finger-pointing.”

Mamdani sparked controversy among business owners and city leaders after posting an April 15 clip that used the hedge fund mogul’s record-setting $238 million Midtown penthouse as the backdrop for a proposed luxury second-home tax.

Hizzoner cheered in the video as he called out Griffin by name and showed off his loft while suggesting how the new tax would affect the city’s nonresidential homeowners.

Griffin criticized the mayor — who campaigned on taxing the wealthy — for the video, calling it “horrifying” on CNBC and later accused of fraud by expanding Citadel’s operations in Florida instead of New York.

He also threatened to spend $6 billion on the Park Avenue development by Citadel.

Bezos also blasted Mamdani for pouring a record $43 billion into public schools, saying the Big Apple spends 30% more per student — about $44,000 — than other big cities, like Chicago, Los Angeles, and Boston, despite mediocre test results and declining enrollment.

The Blue Origin founder added that the mayor’s heavily regulated housing policy is counterproductive, saying rising rents are driven by “government intervention.”

“This is nobody’s fault other than government policy,” Bezos said.

“And this is fixable. Again, this is a skills issue.”

City Hall did not immediately respond to The Post’s request.
