Former QVC host Antonella Nester he will never forget the chapter in his life when he almost lost everything.
“Me I lost my job. We lost our house. I found out I have two cancers,” Nester said on the Tuesday, April 28, episode of “StRest“The podcast.”[My husband] he had a heart attack. … and I laugh because if I don’t, I’m going to cry.”
In a new interview with the QVC star and podcast host Kerstin Lindquisthowever, Nester – now a breast cancer and leukemia survivor – remembers how faith kept her going through life’s biggest changes.
“I’ve talked to God all my life.” He has always been a big part of my life,” he explained. “The greatest gift my mother and father gave me is my faith. I went to a Catholic school for 12 years, went to church every Sunday.”
When Nester’s husband was hospitalized with a heart attack following a health scare, the retail veteran found herself speaking angrily to God in the parking lot.
“I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?!'” he recalled. “This is my prayer, I am the one talking to him.”
Soon after, Nester said he received a supportive text message from his college roommate, Colleen, whom he hadn’t heard from in 10 years. In the post, Colleen applauded the former QVC host for opening up about her health issues Facebook and he wanted to remind her to be “strong, faithful, and God loves you.”
From that moment on, Nester said that his anger towards God disappeared and his outlook on the future changed for the better. As he explained to the audience, it was an example of “God will send you a message.”
“I got back on the phone with God,” she said. “I said, ‘I’m really sorry, I know you’re with me, I know you’re going to take care of us.'”
After taping the podcast, Lindquist opened up about how special it was to be reunited with his former QVC colleague. (Lindquist he said goodbye in the purchasing network in February 2025 after 13 years with the company to pursue other projects.)
