Eiza González enjoy the front seat as his best friend Margot Robbie mother enters.
“I love him and we’re friends, but I look up to him,” said González, 36, on the Friday, May 15, episode of “In Your Dreams” a podcast. “I mean, you’re human [who] you are a great role model. She is a mother, a producer, a creator, an artist. Being a mother, going through periods, is really demanding, and you stay together.”
Robbie, 35, and husband Tom Ackerley welcomed their first childson, late 2024.
“It’s like, [when] trying to explain to someone who has kids, you don’t need to because you get it, and if they don’t, maybe it’s really boring to hear,” Accommodations in Wuthering Heights the actress gave birth to her mother during the August 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “So, it’s like, ‘It’s better,’ you know?”
Robbie and Ackerley, 35, have kept much of their domestic life private, including the name of their youngest child.
As for González, she marvels that Robbie has seamlessly balanced parenting and his thriving Hollywood career.
“He’s got a good spirit,” González added to the podcast host Owen Thiele. “His power is like the aura of a star, [a] bright light. He’s just so strong, and I’m just like, ‘I can’t be that.’ … I look [Margot] like you’re a unicorn.”

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Robbie said Vogue in 2016. “I always loved him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he’s never going to love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him you love him.’ And then it happened, and I was like, ‘Yeah, we’re together. This makes a lot of sense, in a way that has never made sense before.’”
Later that year, Robbie and Ackerley tied the knot in a private ceremony stored in the actor’s Australian territory. After their love marriage, the couple hoped to eventually expand their family.
“Three days ago, my husband stopped by the dog shelter on the way back from the airport and now we have a pit bull puppy,” Robbie said. PORTER magazine in 2018. “We already have a 2-year-old who is still working like a puppy. I love him, but he’s a handful and for the past three days, I haven’t slept. When I look at my future 30 years from now, I want to see a Christmas dinner with tons of kids there, but definitely not right now.
