Blake Lively is dragging Justin Baldoni to court just weeks after the lawsuit

Blake Lively is dating Justin Baldoni just weeks after they settled their legal battle.
Judge Lewis Liman ordered the “It Ends With Us” co-stars to return to Manhattan court on Monday to settle damages related to Baldoni’s dismissed $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
In the legal filing, Lively, 38, asks that Baldoni, 42, pay her legal fees and the costs of the defamation case.
The “Gossip Girl” actress is also seeking treble damages and punitive damages.
It is unclear how much money Lively is seeking from Baldoni in total.
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Lively and Baldoni for comment.
Lively and Baldoni were due to go to court on May 18 before reaching a settlement on May 4 after a judge dismissed 10 of the actress’ 13 counts in her 2023 lawsuit, including conspiracy, sexual harassment and defamation.
The “Simple Favor” actress filed a sexual assault lawsuit against Baldoni, who also directed “It Ends With Us,” in December 2024.
Baldoni denied Lively’s claims and, the following month, filed her own $400 million lawsuit against the actress, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist, Leslie Sloane, alleging defamation, fraud and more.
However, Baldoni’s case was dismissed in June 2025.
At the time, Judge Liman wrote that Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios “did not allege that Lively was responsible for any statements other than her own.” [California Civil Rights Department] to complain, which is a right.”
Last month, Lively and Baldoni both claimed victory when the case of one of the suspects was settled.
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, called the settlement a “huge victory” during an interview with “TMZ Live.” He also said that Lively solved his problems because he was “afraid” to testify in his case.
“It was a great opportunity,” he told the outlet, “and I don’t think you throw away a great opportunity.”
Lively’s team then called the settlement a “significant victory” for the mother of four after Freedman’s comments.
“By conceding that Ms. Lively’s concerns ‘should be heard,’ the defendants have completely destroyed Ms. Lively’s fabricated story of sexual harassment and retaliation,” they told Page Six last Thursday.
Page Six learned that while Lively and Baldoni spent $60 million during their 18-month legal battle, they didn’t see a dime from the agreed-upon settlement.
