A Man Killed His Parents and Brother, Tried to ‘Get Away’ From Them

A Texas man has been arrested following a triple homicide, in which he is suspected of killing his parents and older brother.
The County Sheriff’s Office announced in a news release Thursday, May 7, that three people were found dead at a Pflugerville home.
Deputies responded to the home after receiving a 911 call just before 8:30 a.m. from a relative, who requested a welfare check after a family member failed to show up for work.
When they arrived, police found three people – a man in his 60s, a woman in his 60s and a man in his 30s – all with gunshot wounds. The victims are now known as Armand Dahan62, Jami Dahan,63, and Noah Dahan31.
Detectives searched the home and found a 9mm Glock, as well as spent shell casings near the bodies. Authorities said it did not appear the victims were defending themselves with a gun and there were no signs of forced entry into the home, according to an affidavit viewed by Fox 7 Austin.
Joshua Dahana family member of the victims, was eventually arrested and charged with murder in connection with the triple murder.
One hour before the welfare check call, detectives met Joshua, 27, in West Lake Hills. Joshua was reportedly disoriented and told authorities he was on his way to his grandmother’s house, according to an affidavit seen by the store.
Joshua appeared to be “obviously emotionally distressed” and said he was “trying to get away from them,” according to how he came out. He also said that he was living with Jami and Armand saying that they hurt him, they will hide his things from him and they will deceive him.
The deputies then escorted Joshua to his car and allowed him to leave.
While investigating the murder of the detectives, they found a video from the surveillance system of the neighbor’s house and saw a car similar to Joshua’s leaving the area at 5:47 in the morning on May 7. The car was seen leaving just 20 minutes after the neighbor reported that he heard a loud explosion coming from the Dahans’ house.
Family members spoke to authorities, revealing that Joshua had an interest in weapons and was taking medication for mental health issues.
After naming Joshua as a suspect, authorities found him around 11:45 a.m. at a North Austin McDonald’s. US Police and Austin SWAT officers took him into custody and he was taken to Dell Seton for a medical checkup.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services reported that Joshua was “delusional” and “uncooperative,” according to the outlet. It is said that he also told hospital staff that he was a victim of sexual assault.
The investigation into the triple homicide is ongoing, and authorities ask that anyone with information call the TCSO tipline at 512-854-1444.
It is not yet clear whether Joshua has applied or retained a lawyer after his arrest. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office did not have additional information to share when contacted Us Weekly.
