A Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette star Paul Anthony Kelly he recently welcomed his first child with his wife, Syd Widziszewski-Kelly.
Kelly, 37, confirmed the news during an appearance The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday, February 23.
“You just became a father!” the host Kelly Clarkson he said, to which the actor replied, “I did, yes. Thank you very much.”
After Clarkson, 43, asked Kelly if adjusting to fatherhood had made him “tired,” he admitted, “A little bit, yeah.
The model did not reveal the name or gender of her newborn.
Kelly has said that Widziszewski-Kelly, whom he married in May 2023, was about to give birth. Carolyn Bessette-KennedyBirthday.
“When we finish filming, my wife and I need to go back home and start building a nest,” he said The conversation November 2025. “The baby is coming in January. The baby was originally estimated to arrive on January 7, which was Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s birthday.”

“February came, and I felt good about it, but the actors said they were studying other gentlemen.” I said, ‘Okay, that’s fine. “A few months go by, and in late April I got an email from my agents. The actors want to see me again to do another taping. Twenty minutes later, I get another email and it’s like, ‘We’re going to go straight to the producer.’ We are in Portland. That’s home base now, my wife and I. So I do Zoom, and right before we go to our second anniversary dinner, she tells me we’re pregnant. May 1 was a big day.”

Kelly continued, “The next day I got a call from my agent: They want to see me to study chemistry. Sarah [Pidgeon]who had already acted as Carolyn, the following week. The goal was that I should have my green card before then. The call came in on Friday. Saturday I got my green card. I booked my ticket on Sunday.”
Kelly and Pidgeon, 29, play Kennedy and Bessette-Kennedy in Love storywhich premiered on February 12. The limited series also stars Grace Gummer as JFK Jr.’s sister, Caroline Kennedyagain Naomi Watts like his mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Kelly said The Kelly Clarkson Show On Monday, he was almost forced to try out acting before he booked Love story.
“I’ve been following it for 12, 13 years, and it was getting to the point where I was being tested a lot, I wasn’t going through anything and I was like, ‘Okay, okay. “And then I had this great opportunity.”
