What’s in his winning bag for the 2026 US Open

Fresh from winning the US Open for the second time in three years, Wyndham Clark was quick to thank the club that helped him to victory.
“I played some bad golf the last two days, but my putter game and short game kept me there,” Clark told Mike Tirico at the Trophy event. “Making all the putts I’ve made with my favorite Ping putter has been amazing.”
On the 72nd hole, Clark left his birdie putt 52 feet to nine inches to secure his second major title and second win of the season since switching to the Ping Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset CB putter. Clark has given the putter away several times in the past few weeks with changes to his game since 2025.
Just this week, Clark signed a unique putter-endorsement contract with Ping to continue using the putter. It was Ping’s first putter-only deal in more than 50 years of sponsoring Tour players.
“I thank the new putter for helping me get back into the winner’s circle,” Clark said in a statement announcing the deal. “The white end caught my attention and when I started rolling putts with it, it was easy to stop and gave me instant confidence. I had never used a putter with a starter before, so it was a new situation for me that really matched my eye. The start combined with the top-rail dot made alignment easier and my consistencyfrontnew
Clark, who began the year as a free agent after his previous contract with Titleist expired at the end of 2025, cycled through the first two months of the season. He then switched to Scottsdale’s TEC in March at the Texas Children’s Houston Open and later moved to a more difficult version against the RBC Heritage in April.
Since the move to the 38″ counterweight model, Clark has risen dramatically in the PGA Tour’s SG: Putting statistics, he went from losing .725 a round and ranked 155th on the Tour to T62 in the count, gaining .120 strokes in the field. The majority of the improvement came from 5 to 15 feet, where Clark’s percentage went from 160 on Tour to 55th.
This week, Clark was T4 in Strokes Gained: Putting, taking 6 more shots on the field.
While tied down with his putter, Clark remains a free agent for the rest of his bag without continuing to pick up a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball. Besides the putter, the other club that accepted free agency is also the driver.
The 2023 US Open champion also started the season by using four different drivers in his first five events, but eventually settled on the TaylorMade Qi4D. He won in Dallas in his first week playing the new Project X Titan Yellow wood shaft and made more changes in the last two weeks to the setup, dropping a 10.5 head high due to the high spin.
“It’s actually a 9° high head and we were just looking to get his levels down to 2500-2400,” said TaylorMade Tour Rep Adrian Rietveld. “So we chose a 9° head because we couldn’t make it at 10.5˚.
“Same settings, same weight setup and everything, we just needed to get the loft setup. We had less than half the loft.”
Finished 14th all week at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in SG: Off-the-Tee.
The win means all five men’s and women’s majors this season have been won by TaylorMade drivers, with Clark joining Rory McIlroy and Nelly Korda in winning four of their five with a Qi4D driver. Clark is the only big winner using Qi4D without a contract.
His other bag includes a Ping G440 Max 3-wood – becoming the first player in the last seven majors to win without using a TaylorMade Qi10 – the same Titleist T-Series irons he played while under contract with Titleist last season and Vokey SM11 wedges.

Project X Titan Black Wood Shaft
You can only change so many times. Then you have to rename. Designed and engineered in our R&D Lab in San Diego, CA, the Titan Black is built to meet the needs of today’s fast, aggressive skaters. The elastic handle section continues continuously through the center and tip, delivering a smooth feel with extra durability where it matters most. Synex Technology uses multi-axial carbon fibers to strengthen the outer structure of the shaft, increasing the stiffness of the hoop from the handle in the middle section for efficient power transfer and improved control. Combining feel and stability, the Titan Black gives players the confidence to swing faster without sacrificing dispersion or consistency.
