We’ve found designer dupes so beautiful you’ll think they’re real: Cartier, Bottega and more

People say money can’t buy happiness, but I tend to disagree.
With my current bank account, I can’t really afford the luxurious Chanel resort collection (already sold out in New York) or the latest, cake-like Dior line created by Jonathan Anderson or another popular runway creation.
The Devil may wear Prada, but we all need something affordable.
While there’s a time and a place to splurge on an embroidered Saint Laurent Icare tote or an iconic Ralph Lauren Americana sweater, there’s also a time to embrace a dupe (sorry, Ralph!).
Designer items are coveted for a reason: their high quality and limited value make them deeply desirable, especially when celebrities and magazines feature their looks. However, you can easily elevate your wardrobe by mixing the most understated pieces, combining a designer splurge with a premium look. After all, scam designers are everywhere…if you know where to look.
Although there are sites dedicated to authentic imitations, such as DHGate and AliExpress, navigating the legal and ethical issues of buying carbon copies is not always worth the risk. Instead, you can find some amazing highway routes right under your nose.
Below are a few great tips we’ve found to help you feel great with less. After all, true style is about how you wear it, not the label.
Good:
- The 100% sustainable natural cotton yarn provides excellent breathability
- The machine-washable cotton construction allows for incredibly easy care and everyday wear compared to soft wool or cashmere.
Disadvantages:
- Pure cotton does not have the natural elasticity of a wool blend, meaning it can stretch quickly
Polo Ralph Lauren is known for its Americana theme, American flag sweaters, and lovely fabrics. Get almost the same look for only $49.90 with Quince, which is 100% organic cotton available in extra petite sizes.

Good:
- This bag is available in three colors
- Comes with fast, free shipping for Amazon Prime members
- There is a magnetic closure that keeps this bag closed from prying eyes
Disadvantages:
- There is no logo listed on the side and no folders sewn by Polène
This bag trend is the latest style of 2026, and right now, Polène is all the rage in France. If you pass a store or part of a store where this is carried, you will find a line out the door. I found a similar look on Amazon for $59.99.

Good:
- The slim and low case sits comfortably on the wrist and slips easily under jacket cuffs or tight shirt sleeves without snagging.
- Water resistance that allows hand washing, rain and splashes to occur
Disadvantages:
- It doesn’t have real diamonds or fancy gemstones on the watch face like Cartier
Similar to the Cartier Panthère de Cartier collection, Fossil has created a similar collection called the Fossil Raquel Watch Collection that is equally beautiful, except for the expensive watch face covered in diamonds and real gold.

Good:
- Leather can be polished
- It’s easy to erase
- Added height with this rubber sole
Disadvantages:
- The zipper can sometimes catch tracks
If you want a boot that feels like The Row, Steve Madden has it nailed. This boot comes in sizes 5 to 14 and features a front zip for a trendy, cool girl look. One of our page 6 fashion editors wears these boots every day, and I could swear she was wearing The Row if I didn’t know better.

Good:
- Available in many colors in Quince
- Comes in sizes XS to XL
- 365-day easy returns and free shipping
Disadvantages:
- Cashmere may drink faster than Jenni Kayne
The most striking feature of this Jenni Kayne Cooper Cardigan is its unique silhouette, highlighted by stunning metallic sleeves. Quince has created a stunningly similar version crafted from luxurious Mongolian cashmere that epitomizes this formal look. Theory and Revolution have similar jerseys, but Quince beats them all at a low price of $159.

Good:
- An incredibly generous 365-day return policy gives you a full year to change your mind
- Protective metal feet on the bottom of the bag keep the leather cleaner
Disadvantages:
- Pebble leather may arrive a little hard out of the box and needs to be used regularly over time to create a soft, supple texture.
Former creative director Jonathan Anderson made Loewe (pronounced loh-WEH-vay) a coveted brand in our fashion arsenal over the past decade, turning its Puzzle bag into an icon. While you won’t be able to replicate that luxurious quality, you can capture a similar look with Quince’s Italian Leather Patchwork Crossbody.

Good:
- The 1.5-inch heel provides a comfortable lift
- Free shipping and free returns online or at any Nordstrom store make trying them completely risk-free
Disadvantages:
- The quality of leather and craftsmanship cannot be matched by Bottega Veneta
There’s no need to go out to the mall to find a great deal on designer items when you can find a dupe.
Bottega Veneta’s tall Chelsea boots are an investment, and if you’re serious, they’re still on sale on the site for $1,450. However, if you want to save money on other items on this list, check out the AllSaints combat boot for $319. It’s still high but not in the thousands.

Good:
- The adjustable ankle strap allows you to customize the fit on your heel
- What looks like a kitten heel is only 2.5 inches, much more comfortable than Valentino’s 4 inches.
Disadvantages:
- The tough nature of patent leather often requires a painful break-in time around the toes before the material softens.
Although this is definitely a Chinese product, it can provide the same level of comfort that any heel can provide. This affordable strap has the look and feel of the classic Valentino Kidskin Pump and is available in sizes 5 to 13.
