When we last left Mickey in the first episode of Season 4, he had just walked out of court, jumped on Officer Bennet’s ship, and was being kidnapped instead of being taken home. Thankfully, the Season 4 finale got there and answered our burning questions quickly. Mickey initially thought the kidnapping was revenge for revealing that the police were wiretapping the prison. But in an unexpected twist, Officer Bennet does him a favor and takes him to the FBI’s Dawn Ruth (Sasha Alexander), who passes on important information.

Although Mickey feels hopeful after the judge issues a warrant for Agent Ruth and her partner Agent Vasquez (Hemky Madera), Agent Ruth confronts him and reveals that even though she knows he is innocent, the FBI will not allow him to testify or save one defense attorney at the expense of the ongoing massive investigation. (If Mickey had waived his right to a speedy trial, Ruth said, the FBI likely would have wrapped up its investigation and cleared his name before he posted bond.*INVITATIONS*)

When Mickey goes back to prison for the FBI, he wants to know exactly what Sam Scales (using the name Kirk Lennon) and Alex Grant from the murder case of the Chef/real estate developer (under the name Alex Gazarian) are up to. Who killed Sam, and why? And who killed the Gazarian (Michael A. Goorjian)? So Agent Ruth put it right.
“You’re bleeding a monster. It’s not a one-off scam. It’s happening all over the country. About a dozen [including Sam/Alex’s BioGreen] that we know so far.” “The truck leaves the refinery with biofuel for delivery. The same truck comes back later with raw livestock, and they do this several times a day, but the contents of the barrels don’t change. They keep running the same cooking grease in and out and changing labels. And every time, they charge the government again for it. “

He confirmed that Sam worked with Gazarian as an insider for the FBI, but in a twist, he said that Sam was not killed because he was an informant. Instead, Gazarian kicked Sam out after hearing that he was stealing money from the operation. And for those still wondering, after Sam came in cold, the FBI confiscated his wallet so no one could connect his identity to BioGreen and expose their investigation.

While Mickey got the FBI’s side of the story from Agent Ruth, Maggie (Neve Campbell), Cisco (Angus Sampson), and Lorna (Becki Newton) were learning the Gazarian side of things from his girlfriend Jeanine Ferrigno (Emmanuelle Chriqui), who ran away with Cisco after Alex was killed. When Maggie asked to get Jeanine immunity if she went public, she confirmed that Gazarian was impressed with Sam’s art gallery plan (IYKYK) and connected with him down the line in hopes of using his skills to get his BioGreen operation off the ground.
Everything was going well, until Gazarian realized that the money was missing and beat up Sam. So how did Sam’s body fit into Mickey’s trunk? “Alex hated Haller because he forced him to confess to that fifth chef. He lost the Olympics contract. He had to sell his construction company, otherwise he wouldn’t have used BioGreen at all,” explained Jeanine. And who killed the Gazan? His family, who didn’t appreciate the media attention on Mickey’s case or Sam stealing under Gazarian’s nose.

Was Mickey Convicted of Murder Lincoln’s lawyer? Will Mickey Get Out Of Jail And Succeed In His Case?
After Mickey and his team exchange stories, they plot to free him without the FBI’s evidence. They knew Jeanine had to testify, but she refused. So they did what they do best and got creative! Lorna called Agent Ruth and told her to look out her office window, where she and Jeanine were waiting – only Jeanine was waiting. actually hiding with Cisco in San Clemente. Izzy’s girlfriend Grace (Gigi Zumbado) comes in, dons a blond wig, and dresses up as Gazarian’s girlfriend to help the FBI believe she’s actually going to testify. And it worked!
In court the next day, the judge (Scott Lawrence) received a mysterious letter, announced a recess, invited the lawyer to his chambers where District Attorney Suarez and FBI agents Stephen Tremblay and Agent Ruth were waiting to prevent Jeanine’s testimony, which would jeopardize their investigation. In exchange, the DA indicated that he would drop the charges against Mickey as long as he agreed to remain silent. Knowing full well that his reputation will still be tarnished, Mickey rejected the deal and asked for a full withdrawal in a statement sent by Dana (Constance Zimmer) to the public. Oh, and a full investigation into why Officer Collins pulled over his car to boot! Much to Dana’s dismay, the DA agreed, and Mickey ended up free. The FBI took Jeanine into protective custody, Maggie and Haley returned to San Diego, and Mickey – with a new appreciation for life – felt it was time for a change.

He returned his car to the warehouse, but decided to put his house on the market and try to cook dinner rather than order takeout again. He heads to the store and makes eye contact with a beautiful woman (Cobie Smulders) in the production area. For a few seconds, it seemed that a new love might blossom. (The grocery store meet cuts are perfect for a rom-com!) And as Mickey heads to his car, a woman chases him and asks if he’s Mickey Haller. Mickey confirmed, but before he could catch his name, he yelled “GET DOWN!” and pushed him to the ground when the gunshot rang out. Within seconds, the FBI was on the scene. They were after Mickey because they had reason to believe that he was still a force. And he was! The Armenians tried to get him out, but this mysterious woman saved his life.

“What just happened? How did you learn to do that?” Mickey asked. “I don’t know, this guy was staring at you, then he put his jacket on, and I think my mind went in,” he replied. When Mickey questions her instincts and identity, she drops the bombshell, saying, “Oh, uh…actually, I’m your sister.” And just like that, we’re left wondering what season 5 has in store!
