Bryant was responding to a message written on X saying that she has moved on with an unnamed man more than six years after the death of her husband, the NBA legend. Kobe Bryant.
“Vanessa Bryant will remarry after receiving 50% of Kobe Bryant’s fortune, and the remaining 50% will be shared between their three daughters,” said the fake message.
The post has received over 6,000 likes and over 2.5 million views at press time.
Vanessa’s post also included a response that said, “It’s been six years, what if she wants to get married again. Should she be alone for the rest of her life??
The errant announcement received a public note from X, explaining that Kobe’s estate is “managed by his family trust, with no guaranteed 50/50 split.”

Vanessa and Kobe got married in April 2001 and adopted four daughters together – Nataliaborn in 2003, Giannaborn in 2006, Biancaborn in 2016, too Capriborn in 2019 – before the sudden death of the basketball star.
Kobe and Gianna died in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Kobe was 41, and Gianna was 13.
Vanessa is no stranger to shutting down speculation about her private life since losing her husband and child.
After a social media post went viral in March 2026, claiming that Vanessa was pregnant with her long-term boyfriend’s child, Us Weekly he only revealed that Vanessa was not expecting and did not have a partner.
