Travis Kelce Responds To Taylor Swift Name Change Debate

Travis Kelce he is responding to a discussion about whether Taylor Swift he will change his last name when the couple says “I do.”
Kelce, 36, played on speculation that Swift, 36, will change her name after the couple gets married, on Instagram on Tuesday, May 26. “Do you think Taylor Swift will change her last name? “That’s a good question,” replied Compton, 36. Kelce appeared to agree and showed his support by “liking” a social media clip of the podcast.
The guest suggested the “really good” singer is planning to take Swift out on her behalf.
Another added, “He’s more famous in the world than Travis Kelce. If anything, Travis is going to change you.”
Lewan, 34, agreed, saying he saw Kelce’s “high stakes” in changing his last name to Swift. “Taylor Kelce still has a ring, too,” he added.
Another guest suggested that maybe the pop star would combine both of their last names and make it Kelce-Swift.
“No, you have to go Swift-Kelce,” Compton said while smiling. “Travis Swift-Kelce.”
Lewan also liked the sound of the name, saying, βThose hits!

Swift and Kelce, who began dating in 2023, announced their engagement via Instagram in August 2025. The two shared a photo of Kelce getting down on one knee and popping the question to Swift in her backyard, which she turned into a garden. He proposed with an 8-10 carat Old-Mine custom cut diamond engraved 18K yellow gold band by Kindred Lubeck.
