Sex and the City Smith Resurfaces After 3-Year Hiatus

Sex and the CitySamantha Jones may have taught Us never rush a man, but fans absolutely run back to Jerrod Smith.
Jason Lewisthe actress who played a waitress-turned-actress on the hit HBO series, resurfaced on social media earlier this week after a long hiatus to share a life update. “Three years ago, I kept quiet. Not because I didn’t say anything but because there was something I could do,” said Lewis, 54, in his Instagram video on Thursday, May 21, while he was walking on the beach. “It’s the kind of creative work that doesn’t leave room for much else, and I’m making peace with that.”
“However, it’s the kind of work that needs to find its people,” he continued, without talking about the specific project he was working on. “I’m still in it, but I’m far enough away now that I felt like it’s time to tell you what I’ve been doing. It’s coming.”

Lewis became a fan favorite after his debut SATC in 2003 during the 6th season. Smith and Samantha hit it off and stayed on the show until it wrapped in 2004. Sex and the City: The Movie in 2008.
Lewis was not just an ordinary game of SATC franchise, but was brought back for a second film, in 2010 Sex and the City 2.

“It’s very exciting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, ‘What can we do?’ and I said, ‘Hmm, Let me create,'” Cattrall, 69, said of his much-anticipated return when he appeared in June 2023 Watchingnoting that she needs her trusted stylist by her side. “And one of those things was finding out Pat Field I came back because I just thought that if I’m going to come back, I should come back with this style of Samantha. I have to push it. And so we did.”
As for Lewis, he apparently never got a call about reprising his role in the spinoff.
“I didn’t [been approached]but I’ll be the last to know! “As much as I love flattering, the conversation is about girls,” Lewis said The Daily Front Row in 2021.
