In the same episode, Owens also accused Erika of trying to date high profile people and trying to stand out.
“Erika without a doubt and anyone who is objective and honest and looks at her history of people she’s dated and people she wanted to be close to can confirm that this girl wanted to be famous like, very badly, she wanted to be famous in some way,” said Owens.

“I saw with my roommate how bad it was,” Erika said during a CBS Town Hall in December 2025. “In a way, getting drinks became a place for coffee or breakfast. I personally would rather have coffee or brunch with someone than go out for a drink. I don’t offer it – I find it counterproductive. Not because I’m holier than anyone else; no one else is holy.”
He continued, “I always thought it was amazing how she would drink with one guy and go to dinner with another.
However, resurfaced photos and videos from Erika’s past linked her to several men.
A deleted Instagram post reportedly from September 2017 shows Erika taking a painting class with Cabot Phillips. It was captioned, “Yes, we are that couple who take art lessons together.”

Erika also did an interview Amazing Race in 2014 with her boyfriend at the time JT Massey. A clip of their interview resurfaced after Erika denied dating someone for five years.
In the summer of 2018 before starting a relationship with Charlie, Erika also made a guest appearance on Bravo’s Season 3. Summer Housewhere he was portrayed as a potential love interest for the character Jordan Verroi.
Erika, who had two children with Charlie, praised her husband when she spoke about his death two days after he was shot.
“Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and his faith,” said Erika in a press conference in September 2025. “Charlie loved life. He loved his life, he loved America, he loved the environment that helped him always to be closer to God.”
He continued. “He loved the Chicago Cubs and my goodness did he love the Oregon Ducks. More than anything, Charlie loved his kids and he loved me with all his heart and I knew that every day. He made sure I knew that every day.”
