Comedian says Megan Thee Stallion needs a ‘real man’ after Klay Thompson split in ‘SNL’ sketch

“Saturday Night Live” star Kam Patterson called out NBA player Klay Thompson for allegedly cheating on Megan Thee Stallion.
“And who is that?” comedian teased a segment on “Weekend Update”, before Michael Che chimed in and said Patterson is “a world-famous basketball player.”
“Wait a minute, there’s a men’s WNBA? What do you call that? The MNBA? … To me, he’s not Klay, he’s dirty,” Patterson said.
“What Meg Thee Stallion needs is a real man,” added the 27-year-old, as Che, 42, replied, “What else makes a real man?”
Describing himself playfully, Patterson said that a “real man” is “likely to be employed in a booming industry,” such as “entertainment” and working on “a sketch television show.”
“And he’s not in a lot of sketches,” added Patterson, referring to his first “SNL” season debut. “But he’s doing well. Some say he gets more of his voice every week.”
The audience cheered, and Che told himself not to “encourage” Patterson’s words, adding, “It’s just you, Kam.”
“I think that sounds like me,” Patterson continued, before jokingly insisting that he had no idea who Thompson, “the four-time NBA champion and second-greatest shooter of all time,” was.
Patterson admitted that he wanted to date Megan, saying, “Megan, if you’re watching, let me talk to you directly.”
She then leans forward as seductive music plays in the background, telling the camera, “Am I the man you want? Probably not. But am I the man you need?”
“But you’ve got the best baby, so why not try something else?” Patterson asked questions before showing a number of DMs he allegedly sent to the hit singer.
Reps for both Thompson, 36, and Megan, 31, could not immediately be reached by Page Six for comment.
Megan confirmed on April 25 that he and the athlete had separated almost a year later of dating, telling Page Six that “honesty and respect are non-negotiable[s]” in a relationship.
On the same day, the “Mamushi” star broke down in tears while closing his “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” Broadway show. A few days later, Megan announced that she was leaving the show more than two weeks before her first date.
Thompson has not yet responded to the allegations against him. However, sports commentator Stephen A. Smith recently defended the athlete saying that Thompson did not deserve to have his business broadcasted publicly.
