Pro wrestler Jordan Saint has died in a car accident on Long Island

A champion wrestler has died in a crash on Long Island that left another driver seriously injured – just months after he returned to the ring.

Jordan Nasir St. Fort Colin, 23, was driving his 2012 Nissan Altima when a Hyundai driver hit him on the Bethpage State Parkway Friday morning, New York State Police told News12.

The driver of the Hyundai, who was seriously injured, fell between the oncoming vehicles before hitting the Nissan. Police confirmed that there were no passengers in either vehicle.

The athlete from Patchogue, who was known as “Black Flash” Jordan Saint on the independent wrestling circuit, died just months after returning to indoor competition.

He was performing at Shooting Star Fest in Las Vegas, which took place in April during the week of WWE’s biggest event, WrestleMania.

“No promotion. I’m back,” he said, announcing his return in January.

“Wrestling was the only true love in my life. I didn’t want to leave, but life went on.” [sic].”

Pandemonium Pro Wrestling executives described Saint as “a very talented wrestler” and “a truly unbelievable person.”

“He was the perfect example of what true passionate pro wrestling looks like,” the Texas-based promotion said.

“No one I’ve ever met loved pro wrestling more than Jordan Saint.”

“He touched many people with his kindness, his love, his personality and his loveliness.

“Jordan never folded and never changed for anyone if it meant giving up who he was. He always wore his heart on his sleeve and we loved him for it.”

Saint also played for Naptown All-Pro Wrestling and management says he is “headstrong and dedicated to his craft.”

“That love of the art and the game of pro wrestling resulted in everything that happened, and if you took the time to be in his presence, the enthusiasm he had for the squared circle was contagious,” said the organizers.

“Headstrong and dedicated to his craft, Jordan was quick to soak in the knowledge. Combined with his excellent athleticism, he took on all aspects of in-ring competition in a flash.

“A true diamond class prospect, we are saddened to know that we will not see his full potential achieved.

“Jordan is the epitome of everything we want a Naptown All Pro to be. An undying desire to be yourself, a deep commitment to the community, a calling to do what is right in the world, and a deep love of professional wrestling.”

TNA wrestler Bear Bronson said Saint’s death “broke” his heart.

“This guy was always smiling. ALWAYS happy, always polite. And man, did he have an amazing talent that blew everyone away in the room,” he wrote.

“He loved to read and learn. A good soul gone, too soon.”

Saint was to be on the card at Pandemonium’s “Burst and Decay” event in Austin on August 2nd.
