Florida Georgia Line reunites on stage for the first time in 4 years after breaking up

Florida Georgia Line is back – at least for one night.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley shocked fans Thursday night when the pair reunited on stage for the first time since their split in 2022.

Surprise time went down at Broken Bow Records’ annual beach night during the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.

The pair performed “You Make It Easy,” a song they co-wrote with Morgan Wallen and Jordan Schmidt that Jason Aldean took all the way to No. 1 in 2018. Aldean was honored at the event.

At one point on stage, Hubbard called Kelley “brother,” a sign that the duo may be on better terms after years of speculation about their relationship.

The Grammy-nominated couple announced their plans to go on hiatus in February 2022 before calling it quits after their final show in August.

Despite rumors of bad blood, Hubbard recently insisted that the split was not as dramatic as fans believed.

“This has been huge and shocking on the Internet,” he said on the December 2025 episode of the “People’s School” podcast. “There is no good, bad person in this equation. There is no right or wrong. Everyone wants to do that on the Internet. They want to say, ‘right, wrong, good person, bad. Team BK, Team T-Hub.’ Absolutely not.”

The singer explained that the split eventually led to rifts, with Kelley reportedly wanting to pursue his own career while still pushing the band forward – something Hubbard said he wasn’t.

“BK stuck to his beliefs and followed his gut and decided to make a decision based on his passion,” Hubbard said. “I set a line that I wasn’t willing to cross and it is what it is. We both accepted it before the internet accepted it.”

Still, the distance was tough.

“I haven’t talked to BK much in the last few years,” Hubbard went on to admit. “But we’re going to go hiking … I miss the guy I was with for 10 years. I miss my old roommate, the man I loved the most in my marriage.”

On March 3, Hubbard and Kelley were reunited offstage on a family ski trip in Idaho — along with their wives Hayley and Brittney.

“Proof that God’s timing is always better than ours,” Brittney Kelley wrote on Instagram. “This week has been about healing, laughing, and remembering the “why” that brought us together in the first place.

“We walked in peace about the past and a reminder that redemption is real and the future is bright.”

On Thursday night, Aldean had indicated that he expected to play the song and leave, but closed his eyes when the backdrop came down to reveal more than a dozen plaques No. 1, celebrating his milestone of 31 top hits.

Musicians including Travis Tritt took the stage in tribute to Aldean, and Tritt performed “Night Train,” and others joined in throughout the night.
