Kyle Busch’s 911 call revealed he coughed up blood before dying

Hours before Busch died at age 41, a 911 call received by TMZ reveals that Busch suffered a medical emergency at a training facility in North Carolina.

“I have a person who has difficulty breathing, who is very hot,” said the caller. “[He] he thinks he’s going to faint, and he coughs up a little blood, coughing up some blood.”

At the time, the anonymous caller also noted that Busch was “still awake” and conscious, adding, “He’s in the bathroom right now.”

The news broke on Thursday, May 21that Busch died.

“We are deeply saddened and saddened to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our greatest and most aggressive drivers of all time,” NASCAR said in a statement. “Our condolences go out to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire sports community.”

Kyle, who was there it is said that he was found unresponsive in a racing simulation game on Thursday, he is survived by his wife Samantha Busch and their two children.

The statement concluded, “His sharp wit and competitive spirit sparked a deep emotional connection with race fans of all ages, creating a proud and loyal ‘Nation of Giants.’ and fans. NASCAR lost a giant of the sport today, too soon.”

Kyle had been hospitalized shortly before his death.

“Kyle suffered a serious illness that led to his hospitalization,” the Busch family said in a statement Thursday morning. “He is currently undergoing treatment and will not compete in any of his scheduled events this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We ask for your understanding and privacy as our family deals with this situation.”

Samantha, 40, did not speak publicly about her husband’s death at press time.
