Staten Island Rep calls on US military to arrest Raul Castro and bring him to justice — like Maduro

A Staten Island minister whose mother fled Communist Cuba is asking the US military to do to former Cuban President Raúl Castro, 94, what they did to Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro – snatch him from the island and bring him to an American court.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) told The Post on Monday about her request for action as the Justice Department was in the final stages of filing a superseding case against Castro and five other officials in connection with the 1996 shooting down of two US airliners in international waters that resulted in the deaths of four people, including three Americans.
Castro was charged along with five others with seven counts of murder, conspiracy to kill Americans and destroying aircraft.
Malliotakis, who still has family living on the communist island, is concerned that Castro, 94, may flee Cuba and seek asylum in China, Russia and Iran.
“I don’t know if they will turn against him. I mean you could have something happen to (former Venezuelan President Nicólas) Maduro,” he said. “He may choose to flee the island to avoid capture.”
Malliotakis was talking about the surprise operation ordered by President Trump that was launched on Jan. 3 which led to the arrest of the Venezuelan dictator and his wife, Cilia Flores.
“The capture of Maduro was done flawlessly, (it was done) flawlessly and it was done with precision and it was done quickly,” the representative of the New York’s. The 11th congressional district has been drawn. “I think if they come in they will be doing the same thing.”
Malliotakis said he did not know what plans Washington might have, but said Castro “must be prosecuted and must answer for his crimes against humanity, especially the killing of American citizens over the past 30 years.”
Malliotakis joined GOP Florida representatives María Salazar, Carlos Giménez and Mario Díaz-Balart on February 17 in presenting Trump with a letter in which they urged the DOJ to renew the investigation into Casto’s involvement in deciding the Cuban military jersey to open fire on three US civilian planes used by the Brothers to Miscue Cuban migrants in distress at sea.
The DOJ finally presented its case on Wednesday. they suspect that on Feb. 24, 1996, two of the three unarmed Brothers to the Rescue planes were hit by air-to-air missiles while outside Cuban waters.
Three American citizens, Armando Alejandre Jr., Carlos Costa and Mario de la Peña were killed, along with Pablo Morales, a legal citizen.
Meanwhile, the communist regime of Cuba held a protest in front of the US embassy in Havana on Friday – as Castro’s daughter, Mariel Castro, dared the US military to repeat the operation in Venezuela.
“He is ready to fight. No one will kidnap him,” he told reporters. “I can assure you of that, not him, or anyone else. We are ready to fight against imperialism.”
