John Travolta Movie ‘November 1963’ Acquired By Ketchup Entertainment

INTERMEDIATE: Ketchup Entertainment has picked up the North American rights to John Travolta’s crime thriller November 1963. A 1,000 theater release for Q4 is planned.
Directed by 2x Oscar nominated filmmaker Roland Joffé (The Killing Fields, The Mission), the film reconstructs the assassination of John F. Kennedy through the eyes of those who work in the shadows, where power is negotiated, unelected.
Nicki Celozzi, niece of Sam Giancana, wrote the script and is producing the film along with Kevin Dewalt of Minds Eye Entertainment. Bonnie Giancana, daughter of Sam Giancana, is also attached as an EP. His story comes from his uncle Pepe Giancana, who was with his brother Sam Giancana at this critical time.
November 1963based on a true story, unfolding during the real-time 48-hour period of JFK’s assassination sheds new light on the alleged involvement of the Chicago Outfit. The script is based on first-hand accounts, including direct information from the family of crime boss Sam Giancana.
Two-time Oscar nominee, Golden Globe and Emmy winner John Travolta stars as Johnny Roselli, a key figure in organized crime and an Outfit man on the West Coast and Vegas. Mandy Patinkin plays Anthony Accardo, the powerful and calculating head of the Chicago Outfit, considered one of the most powerful crime bosses in America at the time. Dermot Mulroney is Chuckie Nicoletti, bodyguard of Sam Giancana and the infamous South Side Outfit. Robert Carlyle plays Jack Ruby, a chameleon associated with organized crime and Jefferson White plays Lee Harvey Oswald, an assassin founded by The Outfit.
Writer and producer Nicki Celozzi said: “The essence of why we’re doing this, is that it’s coming from Sam Giancana’s brother, Pepe, who was in the room with Sam during these two days. This story focuses specifically on the involvement of the ‘Chicago Outfit’ in stopping the ‘murder,’ including the second shooter, who was sent there as a failure to protect the patsy.”

The deal was established by Paradigm Talent Agency and negotiated by Alan Abrams on behalf of the filmmakers.
