James Van Der Beek’s Wife Shares Message 3 Months After Death

James Van Der Beekyour wife, Kimberly Van Der Beekshared a heartfelt message about grief three months after the actor’s death.
“Yesterday it was three months since we lost @vanderjames. To say I’m sad is a huge understatement,” Kimberly, 44, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, May 12, alongside a series of photos of her life with James and their six children. “Words just don’t say what grief is.”
Kimberly explained, “The comfort of the shock is over. The truth is about to come out … and I miss him. We all miss him. However, there’s a different kind of magic in the air.”
The actress, who married James in 2010, noted that although her husband is no longer physically by her side, his spirit lives on.
“I feel him. I know him deeply,” Kimberly said of her relationship with James since his death in February following a battle with skin cancer. He was 48 years old.

Kimberly went on to thank those who have lifted her and her children up since James’ death, calling the outpouring of support “overwhelming.”
