Diddy’s release date has reportedly been updated
On Tuesday, March 2, Page Six published an exclusive report that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has updated Diddy’s release date. According to the outlet, the agency has revised Diddy’s release date from June 4, 2028, to April 25, 2028.
In addition, the outlet notes that the update came after Diddy was accepted into a drug rehabilitation program at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in November 2025. At the time, it was reportedly noted that his acceptance could reduce his time behind bars.
“Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and has taken his recovery process seriously from the beginning. He is fully committed to his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change,” Diddy’s attorney told the media during his acceptance speech.

More Updates on Diddy’s Release from Prison and His Fight to Appeal His 4-Year Sentence
As Shade Room previously reported, Diddy’s first release date from prison was announced as October 2025. At the time, it was reported that he would be incarcerated until May 8, 2028. However, it was also noted that the date could change and could be changed if he shows good behavior.
Then in November 2025, it was reported that Diddy’s release date from prison was pushed back to June 4, 2028, via The Shadow Room. At the time, Page Six reported that he was involved in an unauthorized three-way phone call and participated in illegal drinking. However, his spokesperson denied those “rumors”.
“Like any high-ranking person in a new place, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there – most of which are not true. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, privacy to focus on his personal growth,” said the lawyer at the time.
In December 2025, Diddy and his legal team filed a motion to challenge his four-year prison sentence, according to The Shade Room. In addition, his team is said to have demanded that he be released immediately and said that the prosecutors failed to present his evidence. Additionally, they reportedly argued that Judge Arub Subramanian issued a sentence that violated Diddy’s constitutional rights.
On Page Six, in February, prosecutors denied Diddy’s plea. As The Shade Room previously reported, Diddy was convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution in July 2025. In addition, he was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering charges after an eight-week trial.
