Savannah Guthrie he returned to Today show after the sudden exit in the middle of the episode caused concern.

“Someone needs to do the right thing. We’re in pain,” Savannah said. “And to think about what he went through. I wake up every night in the middle of the night. Every night. And in the dark, I think of his fear. And it’s unimaginable.”
Savannah admitted that she wonders if her status as a public figure contributed to her mother’s abduction.
“It’s so hard to think that I brought this to his bedside,” Kotb said. “That’s because of me. I have to say I’m so sorry, Mom. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry to my sister and my brother and my children and my nephew and Tommy, my brother-in-law,” Savannah continued. “I’m very sorry, I’m very sorry, if it’s me, I’m very sorry, I’m very sorry.”
After months of investigating Nancy’s whereabouts, authorities clarified that they remain “fully committed” to the case.
