‘Gone are the days of dirtbag dancing’

Democrats were shocked when a number of anti-Israel, Socialist candidates backed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani swept Tuesday’s New York House primary races, warning that their rise represented a changing of the party guard as voters embraced the far left.
“The roof is collapsing on the Democratic Party establishment tonight,” progressive political activist and CNN analyst Van Jones told Kaitlan Collins as the election results came in.
“And you can’t erase New York City because this is … a powerhouse of establishment and revolution. And they’re going to face each other tonight,” he said.
“And right now, this is no longer a movement. This is a movement and a machine at the same time. And there is no way to sugarcoat this: if Mamdani pulls off a hat trick, this is a new era in Democratic Party politics.”
Former NYC Administrator Brad Lander introduced Rep. Dan Goldman in the 10th District, and radical leftist and Democratic Socialists of America supporter Darializa Avila Chevalier unleashed a stunning AOC-style rant on Rep. Adriano Espaillat on the 13th.
Rep. Claire Valdez edged out Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso in 7th place by more than 20 points.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.), whose independent has lined up his party since his surprise victory in 2022, didn’t hold back in expressing his shock at Tuesday’s results during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
“These are the days of dancing left behind by the garbage bag,” he said.
“Some of these candidates are stigmatized [want to] get rid of ICE, get rid of the police, get rid of the border. He even said ‘f Kamala Harris’ and many more of these types of offensive things,” said the senator, referring to a deleted social media post, full of insults made by Chevalier in 2021.
Fetterman spared the anger of the left-wing king Mamdani, who he said was “sad for the Hamas gunman [was] he was killed by Israel just the other day,” referring to Al Jazeera journalist Ahmed Wishah, who was killed in an Israeli air strike that the Israel Defense Forces said was by Hamas.
He said the list of candidates represented “the full Hamas wing” of the party that has declared “war on ordinary Democrats.”
