Feds, please stop New York’s unequal protection of illegal immigrants

New York’s criminal justice system is in dire need of attention from Assistant U.S. Attorney Harmeet Dhillon — who’s had enough of vigilante district attorneys shielding illegals from prosecution to protect them from deportation, and that’s putting law-abiding citizens at risk.
Dhillon has started with Soros-backed DA Steve Descano of Fairfax County, Va.
He recently announced an investigation into Descano’s policies that instruct prosecutors to “consider the immigration consequences whenever possible,” specifically the “immigration collateral consequences of the particular crime a defendant is charged with” as they decide what charges to file, what plea deals, and what sentences to recommend.
That is: Go less for an illegal immigrant than for a citizen who committed the same rape or assault, because the non-citizen again in danger of being fired.
The wokists see that as an “unequal” result: The illegal receives deportation on top of his other sentence.
But “punishment” is added as a result of being committed another crimei.e. border-hopping or another immigration offense such as overstaying a tourist visa.
Such policies of “allowing illegals” blatantly ignore the Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection under the law.
Compassion also clearly violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act – which prohibits agencies from deriving federal tax dollars from discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.
Descano already has blood on his hands: His office dropped charges against outlaw Marvin Morales‑Ortez and let him walk free — and within 24 hours he had killed a man.
But craziness abounds in New York, too. A few recent examples:
- Outlaw Nicole Alexandra Contreras-Suarez raped a 14-year-old boy in a bodega bathroom — she got six months from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, a fraction of the standard sentence for that crime.
- Six criminals accused of attacking police in Times Square have received light deals, including one who was re-arrested days after being released on bail.
New York Democrats have long embraced this bias:
- In 2020, the state passed the “One Day To Protect New Yorkers” law, reducing the maximum sentence for class A felons to less than a year so that convictions on these charges could result in deportation.
Remember, none of this is about protecting anyone whose only crime is here is illegal: It’s about protecting those who do it. More crime – including violent.
What’s Crazy: Most New Yorkers are in favor of deporting violent illegal immigrants – it makes no sense.
But our local political class somehow confuses protecting the guilty with protecting the innocent (not just when it comes to immigration).
New York desperately needs the feds to crack down on the rising villains: Dhillon (and the other Main Justices) need to be investigated, ASAP.
Look for Bragg’s emails about charging decisions. Put Gonzalez — who publicly declared a violation of Title VI — before Congress.
Get state courts to strike down New York laws that deny the Constitution’s equal protection guarantees.
Shine a bright light on all politicians who think their first job is to protect criminals from the consequences of their actions.
