Sterling K. Brown has a bitter reaction to wife Ryan Meeting with Connor Storrie

Sterling K. Brown had a surprisingly NSFW reaction from his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathefinally they met Hot Competition‘s Connor Storrie.

“This happened and I want everyone to know that I didn’t fall. I didn’t fall. I exploded,” said Bathé, 49, in an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, March 4. “I fell on top of him.”

He continued: “Look at him!

Brown, 49, took to the comments section with a colorful response, writing, “‘She poured … on him?'”

Bathé is one of the many celebrity fans of HBO’s late-night hit. Based on Rachel Reid‘s Game changers book series, Hot Competition follows rival hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Storrie), whose hatred of the snow is just a secret – and very passionate – romance.

While fans wait for another season of Hot CompetitionBathé and Brown both currently star in Hulu’s hit series Paradise. Brown collaborated with the creator Dan Fogelman in the science fiction series, marking their first collaboration since then This is us.

Paradisewhich first aired in January 2025, first appeared in a quiet and wealthy society forced to face the truth of a shocking murder. In typical Fogelman fashion, the political thriller introduces a twist where Paradise is revealed to be an underground house inhabited by the world’s elite after a cataclysmic event destroys all of humanity.

Brown stars as Xavier while Bathé will appear later in season two – and hosts the show’s companion podcast.

“In the beginning, I was lukewarm about doing a podcast because I was like, ‘There’s no way. [they can top season 1],'” Bathé told Us Weekly exclusively last month. “Dan is brilliant. You have great writers but I thought it wouldn’t be as good as season 1.”

Bathé was happy to be proven wrong. You can’t match perfection, so I was going to try but I did [preparing] with the second decline. I was wrong. Not only was I wrong – but I was very wrong. “

He continued: “It’s amazing. I don’t know how they create a good television season in the first season and then take it apart and put the pieces back together in a way that’s more – or interesting -. I’ve been asking that question and they’re all humble.”

Bathé’s passion for the show allowed him to answer all of our burning questions, saying, “I really love this show and I hope that the way I like to watch the show and the questions I ask are compatible with other fandoms. I’m a true fan – but I just hope I make the fans of the fandom proud.”

Paradise debuts February 23 on Hulu with new episodes of the show — and companion podcast — airing every Monday.
