Nancy Guthrie’s Ceiling Camera ‘One of the Most Important Clues’: The Artist (External)

The camera was found to be open Nancy GuthrieThe roof could be an important part of his kidnapping investigation, according to experts.
“That’s not a throwaway detail — it might be one of the most important clues,” Dan Donovanfounder and managing partner of Stratoscope Holdings, a security and risk firm, tells Exclusive Us Weekly.
As the second ransom deadline approaches, Donovan – who is not part of Nancy’s investigation – says the camera’s location indicates this may have been an organized crime.
He explains: “It could mean they were watching entrances, watching police response patterns or monitoring the home to see who was coming in or out.”

“If it’s tied to ransom money, it reinforces something critical: this may not be an emotional crime – it may work,” he adds. “And active criminals tend to follow when they feel control slipping.”
Last week, videos showed FBI agents scaling Nancy’s roof and removing what is believed to be a wired camera, evidence that may have been overlooked in the early days of the investigation.
“Apparently on that roof, the agents found a new camera, a camera they probably didn’t know about and put it in the cell. I don’t know why it wasn’t found, what it could have seen,” said retired NYPD Inspector. Paul Mauro told Fox News’ Jesse Watters on Friday.
Nancy – who is the mother of Today show cohost Savannah Guthrie – was reported missing in Arizona on February 1. She was last seen on January 31 after having dinner with her family, including Savannah’s sister, Annieand brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos previously mentioned Us that Annie was the last person to see her mother.
“This is an ongoing and ongoing investigation. Detectives and agents are continuing to pursue multiple locations. The details of this pursuit are not known at this time. Investigators have not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to this case,” the sheriff’s department said on Sunday, February 8.
The person or people suspected of being involved in Nancy’s kidnapping have demanded millions of dollars in bitcoin, according to a local news station that reportedly obtained one of the ransom notes.
“A number of ransom notes have been sent to the media, including the one sent to us,” JJ McKinney from Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9 reported. “In the letter, the kidnappers demanded that the Guthries pay them six million dollars before this Monday.”
Savannah and her siblings faced the need in an emotional video directed at her would-be captors over the weekend.
“We got your message and we understand,” Savannah said in an Instagram video on Saturday, February 7. “We are asking you now to bring our mother back to us so we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very important to us and we will pay.”
The post read, “Bring him home.”
