Steak ‘n Shake adds dark chocolate Statue of Liberty to the popular milkshake

Steak ‘n Shake is shaking up its “Patriot Milkshake” with a new chocolate twist.

The milkshake will now be served with dark chocolate Statue of Liberty, the company announced on Monday.

“Patriot Milkshake is coming with him [a] Statue of Liberty. Yes fans, dark chocolate,” the company wrote on the X site.

The milkshake, which went live in December, still costs $2.50 and will be available year-round, according to the post. The series previously announced that the move would be available in January.

The company’s announcement included an image of the milkshake, with its classic red, white and blue sprinkles, an American flag on a toothpick and a dark chocolate Lady Liberty on top of whipped cream.

The franchise first announced the milkshake in December as the first to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, which will be celebrated in July, according to the company.

“Steak n Shake is off to a great start as America celebrates its 250th anniversary,” the company said in a post on X in 2025.

The announcement received a positive response on social media, with one X user writing, “This is it [w]the inning looks like us.”

Alex Bruesewitz, a political consultant and advisor to Trump, also echoed the announcement, announcing the addition.

“[Steak ‘n Shake] continues to prove they are the best fast food chain in America,” Bruesewitz wrote in the post.

FOX Business previously reported that the increase comes as other fast-food chains take different approaches to deal with rising prices and cost pressures.

Some chains, like Jack in the Box, have decided to close locations as part of a “broader turnaround plan.”

Some chains, like Cava, have advised against discounting their CEO, Brett Schulman, telling FOX Business that “you can’t discount your way to prosperity.”

The company recently made headlines by introducing 100% beef, becoming the only restaurant to offer a side dish.

This comes after Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. continues to strengthen the food industry to provide healthier options to consumers as part of the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) movement.

Steak ‘n Shake did not immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for comment.
