Bridgerton’s Season Final Post-Credits Scene Features a Big Change

Bridgerton never had a post-credits scene – until the end of season 4.
Warning: Spoilers ahead Bridgerton season 4 part 2
Eagle-eyed viewers stuck behind Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie (Yerin Ha) celebrated their involvement in football and were surprised when the bonus wrapped for the fourth season.
After the credits rolled, Benedict and Sophie’s loved ones were seen gathered at My Cottage as the happy couple prepared to tie the knot. Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) was at Benedict’s side as Kate (Simon Ashley) and the rest of the Bridgertons are predicting who in their group will tie the knot.
Eloise (Claudia Jessie) changed dramatically when he showed interest in more marriages. At that time Francesca (Hannah Dodd) made it clear that she would not remarry while mourning the death of her husband, John (Victor Alli).
Sophie then walked down the aisle as she and Benedict made their relationship official. The camera then returns to their home where a painting of Sophie as the Silver Princess – but this time with her face fully on screen – hangs proudly on the wall with Benedict’s signature on it.

The fictional couple got their happy ending after an eventful season. Based on Julia Quinnthe third novel A Donation From the Rightseason 4 focuses on Benedict and Sophie’s forbidden love, which begins when he meets a mysterious woman in a Cinderella-inspired play but doesn’t realize it’s Sophie.
Fans of the books knew that the season would culminate in an offering from Benedict to Sophie, who is the showrunner. Jess Brownell defended after a backlash from fans.
“At the time, it wasn’t unreasonable for Benedict to think that this was the right question,” Brownell told TVLine in February about Benedict asking Sophie to be his wife while admitting that “it was a big mistake Benedict made.”
Brownell acknowledged that viewers drawn to fairy-tale romance may not be happy, adding, “He has to see Sophie as above her class. For him to question that moment, outrage is a really appropriate reaction.”
Brownell went on to explain why the character reverts to traditional values when it comes to finding a wife.
“A lot of her progress, not in her sexuality, but in other ways, has been successful,” he said. “He’s incredibly lucky and he hasn’t earned that privilege yet. He’s really enjoyed life, but he’s never done anything really scary.”
The second half of the season showed Sophie pondering Benedict’s request before locking him up. They eventually managed to overcome the social rules that kept them apart by lying to hide the fact that Sophie was illegitimate.
Bridgerton is currently streaming on Netflix.
