A Child, a Toddler and 2 Adults were found dead in a murder-suicide

Two adults, an infant and a newborn were found dead at a home in Los Angeles’ North Hills neighborhood, and police suspect they may have died in a suicide.
Police responded to the home around 7:50 pm on Wednesday, May 27. Upon arrival, authorities found the victims reportedly suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police confirmed that an elderly man and woman in their 30s, a 2-year-old boy and a 6-day-old girl were all found dead at the residence, according to Fox LA. The elderly male victim has been identified as Khajag Basmajianwho was 31 at the time of his death.
Investigators currently believe the death was a suicide. Authorities suspect the woman – whose name has not been released publicly – shot the man and children before killing herself, Los Angeles Times reports while citing law enforcement sources.
“This is a tragedy and given the number of deaths, the Robbery-Homicide Special is handling the investigation,” LAPD Capt. Mike Bland said a statement from the store.
This killing has left the neighbors in shock, many people wondering what happened to cause this tragedy.
“It’s hard, I don’t know how someone can be driven to do something like that, such innocence,” the neighbor said. Luis Enriquez he told CBS LA. “I don’t know who did that, I don’t know all the information, but to me, even if it’s a stranger, how can you do it to a child, two children in this case.
Meanwhile, many neighbors left flowers at the residence to honor the victims, according to KTLA.
Neighbor Paula Smith he told the newspaper that he does not know the family, but his heart aches for the children.
“We live a few blocks away and we heard all the helicopters last night. We didn’t know what was going on,” she told KTLA through tears. “But waking up this morning and hearing about this and these children is really painful, go home and love the people you love, if someone is hurting you, please reach out and don’t be ashamed.
LAPD officers are not looking for a suspect in this murder, although they are still investigating the incident.
The LAPD did not immediately respond Us Weeklyrequest for comment on the case.
