Sheriff Country’s Mickey, Travis Caught Kissing Daughter

Sheriff’s CountryMickey and Travis have some explaining to do after their daughter, Skye, catches them kissing.
In Us WeeklyAn exclusive clip from the Friday, March 6, episode of the hit CBS series, Mickey (Morena Baccarin) arrests Travis (Christopher Gorham) after the shooting, saying, “I think I missed my calling. I should have gone to therapy. … That’s not the screaming endorsement I was fishing for.”
Travis, on the other hand, remembers the early days of their relationship.
“I was just thinking when I left the hospital he used the wrong tape and tore part of the skin off my chest,” he joked. “Indeed, to see you work during the siege – never has anyone found his calling so clear.”
Mickey refuses to take credit for his role in keeping their place safe earlier this season. Instead, she shared a sweet moment with Travis — and Skye (Amanda Arcuri) who hold them in secret.
Baccarin, 46, stars as Sheriff Mickey Fox Sheriff’s Country following his time Land of Fire. The spinoff, which premiered in October 2025, focuses on Mickey as he investigates criminal activity and roams the streets of his hometown while dealing with his ex-criminal father and being caught up in a murder case in which his daughter is the prime suspect.
Season 1 explored Mickey’s love life, showing his secret (and common) romance with undercover DEA agent Alec (Wes Chatham). A runner Matt Lopez we were previously teased that “there will be more surprises” headed our way as the series progresses.
“What we’re going to unravel about Mickey is that since he broke up with Travis, his relationship has been good and fleeting,” he shared with us in October 2025. “He’s a character who has some defenses. He’s a character who put his trust in people and lost that trust. He doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve and he doesn’t jump in with both feet first.”
Lopez concluded: “She’s on guard and can she leave her heart unguarded long enough to have a chance at something? Something with a deeper purpose. That’s a question that’s going to play out a lot on screen.”
Lopez also spoke about the decision to explore Mickey and Travis as a couple, saying, “There’s something I find about Mickey and Travis that I really like. There’s something about two people who grew up together, got pregnant at 18, raised a child together, went through all these trials and tribulations, grew apart and grew apart.”
The screenwriter said that people can “fall in love with someone” over the years.
“But when you go through those kinds of experiences with someone, I believe that Mickey and Travis have such a deep love and respect for each other that you never completely fall out of love with someone like that,” he noted. “At the beginning of the season, Skye is involved in her boyfriend’s murder and that brings Mickey and Travis back into each other’s orbit in a way I don’t think they have in a long time.”
Lopez continued: “I think there’s also an unexpected element of, ‘Oh, who’s Mickey going to fall for?’ Well, maybe a good mate you know. But who is the last person waiting to fall for him? Your ex. So it was a great story to tell.”
Sheriff’s Country airs on CBS Fridays at 8 pm ET.
