Hillary Clinton Does Not Dispute Jeffrey Epstein’s Claim

When Hillary Clinton appeared before the House Oversight Committee in a closed hearing, denied having a relationship with a convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. There was one statement that allegedly came from the late billionaire, however, he didn’t take offense – and it made everyone in the room laugh.
“Mr. Epstein comments and quotes, ‘Hey, Hillary Clinton is very beautiful in the face,'” the Republican congresswoman. Lauren Boebert said in Clinton’s launch video on Thursday, February 26.
“I can’t argue with that,” Clinton, 78, replied, sheepishly rubbing her shoulders as the room responded with laughter.
A Clinton legal representative is heard asking the congressman off camera, “Can we see the documents? We don’t think the document says that.” Then he turned to Clinton and said, “Not that you’re not good.”
The interaction between the pair provided a moment of relief in the tense situation, to which Clinton replied, “I’ll take it if I can get it.”
Despite cracking a few jokes during a six-hour testimony before the committee in Chappaqua, New York last week, Clinton has maintained that she has no relationship with Epstein after she and her husband, the former president. Bill Clinton‘s names were found in some of Epstein’s files.
The former first lady told the panel she was “unaware” of Epstein’s sex-trafficking charges before his arrest. Hillary also said that she did not know the man and had never visited any of his places.
Hillary noted that Epstein’s crime was not one thing and the victims should be everyone’s focus.
“If you are new to this issue, let me tell you: Jeffrey Epstein was a brutal man, but he is not alone,” he said in his opening statement to the committee. The Independent. “This is not a hit from the press or a political scandal. It is a global pandemic that is killing people at an incredible rate.”
In July 2019, Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking and child trafficking charges. (He also pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution from a minor — a lesser charge as part of his “sweetheart” deal.) He pleaded not guilty but before the case could go to trial, Epstein died in a New York City jail at the age of 66. His death was later ruled a suicide.
Although Epstein is no longer alive to talk about his alleged crimes, he continues to make headlines thanks to the long-awaited release of the Epstein Files as part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
In recent months, several high-powered people – including celebrities, politicians and members of the royal family – have been named in the documents.
Bill, 79, and Hillary both met separately with the House Oversight Committee to deny allegations that they were related to the late criminal.
“First of all, I had no knowledge of the crimes Epstein was committing,” Bill wrote in a statement via X on Friday, February 27, before he was released. “No matter how many pictures you show me, I have two things more important at the end of the day than you explaining those 20-year-old pictures: I know what I saw, and more importantly, what I didn’t see. I know what I did, and more importantly, what I didn’t do. I didn’t see anything, and I didn’t do anything wrong.”
He added that the committee may not like his answers, but he will speak his truth. “That may not be satisfactory, but I won’t say something I’m not sure about,” said Bill. “As I swear, I will not lie that I eagerly await your questions, but I am ready to answer them to the best of my ability, according to the facts I know.”
