Sophie Cunningham Reveals Caitlin Clark’s True Character In Court

Star of Indiana Fever Sophie Cunningham pulls back the curtain on a teammate Caitlin Clarkpersona outside the courtroom, describing him as a “common man” and a “big dock.”
“First of all, I think he’s a normal person,” Cunningham said on the Wednesday, February 25, episode of the “Like a Farmer” podcast. “He really is. Like, he loves football, you know what I mean? But my favorite story? I don’t know if I have a favorite story, but he’s a big ole dork. I think it’s just an overall, like, you walk in and you don’t know what to expect. He’s a generational player; he’s got all this tension and carries his age very well.”
He continued, “And I promise you, he’s the greatest dork you’ll ever meet. That’s why I just love him. Like love his whole vibe. There’s not one story that lasts.
Cunningham, 29, went on to describe some of the conversations between the WNBA stars as “inappropriate,” adding that she “can’t repeat a lot of the things that were said.”
“I think one thing that people don’t understand is that the WNBA is unfair,” Cunningham said. “Like, we’re so tight. But we’ve had people who work for the NBA and go to the WNBA. And the NBA guys, in what they do, and what they talk about, it’s not even close to … like, we’re crazy. We say crazy, crazy things. It’s just a fun time at the W. I don’t know.”
Cunningham has previously described himself as Sabrina Carpenter at Clark’s Taylor Swiftadmitting that Clark has helped her and the WNBA as a whole, similar to how these two pop artists have navigated and elevated the music industry.
“I think Taylor Swift helped Sabrina Carpenter a lot,” Cunningham said Us Weekly in 2025 when he joined Fever. “And I think Caitlin Clark has helped not only her teammates, but our entire league, our entire game in general, not just here in America, but around the world.”

“I’m going to let him be the star that he is, and he absolutely deserves it,” Cunningham said of Clark. “If he needs me in the corner if I have three open players, I will be there to support him.”
The WNBA and the WNBPA (the players’ union) are currently in the midst of negotiations for a collective bargaining agreement, which could lead to a void if the two sides cannot agree on terms by March 10.
If there’s a shutdown, Cunningham — a self-described TV fan — said he might try to get a cameo on the Bravo show “Summer House.”
“If we don’t have a season, I’ll be there on the weekend,” Cunningham said on his “Show Me Something” podcast, which he also hosts on Bravo. West Wilson.
“Oh yeah, people are going to lose their minds,” Wilson said.
“I was losing my mind,” he replied.
