All the Mind-Blowing Home and Kitchen Tech We Saw at KBIS 2026

The 2026 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show is in the books. We’ve scoured more than 500,000 square feet of showroom space in Orlando to find the most compelling, innovative and impressive technology coming home.
Major appliances, small kitchen appliances, bathroom appliances, toilets, and lighting are getting better, smarter, and more efficient — nowhere was that more evident than at this year’s three-day show in February.
We’ve rounded up all the highlights that caught our attention, including counters that can charge your phone and new high-speed cooking technology that will get grilled chicken to your table three times faster.
Here’s all the best from KBIS 2026.
New technology for high speed cooking
Celerity combines microwave, convection and infrared to cook food three times faster than conventional ovens.
The Sharp Celerity High-Speed Oven has what the brand calls a “golden heater.” The first oven in the industry uses a combination of traditional true convection, microwave heat to penetrate food quickly and deeply, and infrared to crisp and shine the outside. Those three cooking technologies allow it to roast chicken and bake cookies faster than any convection oven.
A washing machine that won’t ruin your sweater
A soft built-in basket keeps your favorite sweater from getting tangled in zippers.
Whirlpool has launched what it says is an industry first built-in soft basket for a washing machine drum. A simple yet smart design that allows you to wash soft sweaters and shirts alongside a regular load. The basket protects delicates from the rough agitations of the normal wash cycle and doubles as a handy way to keep socks in a pair, making the folding process a little less tedious.
Oven with built-in sous vide tank
The SKS rich oven has a built-in sous vide tank.
Sous vide cooking has won over home cooks and professionals alike. The top-and-bottom dishwasher method traditionally required special equipment, but the new full-featured SKS stove eliminates that hurdle by building a sous vide tank directly into the cooktop.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to drop $12K to bring it home.
Barcode scanning fridge
This barcode scanning refrigerator helps keep your grocery list up to date.
This technology makes its own started at CESbut GE Profile brought it to KBIS to showcase its grocery barcode scanning refrigerator. The smart fridge is equipped with a small scanner on the front door, which allows you to scan the items as they go down. You can then add them to a shopping list on your phone or buy them directly through the product’s Instacart integration.
LG’s fast dishwasher can wash and dry in an hour
LG promises that the Flushfit dishwasher can wash and dry a full load of dishes in an hour, saving time and energy. The handle pushes when the dishwasher is closed and features a sleek stainless steel design.
Counters that cook food and charge phones
The hidden concept of the cooktop at KBIS has raised questions about safety.
Gone are the days of bulky kitchen appliances, at least if the companies at KBIS 2026 have anything to say about it. At the show, many appliance manufacturers unveiled space-saving technologies to help declutter the kitchen.
SKS Appliances has released its countertop stovetop concept. If we do as promised, this could eliminate the need for a traditional stove entirely. The cooktop looks like a regular marble countertop, but it has heating elements underneath that make it work.
Watch it below and read on David Watsky’s first thoughts on this concept.
Later during the event, FreePower revealed MagSafe charging intervals. When your phone is placed in the charging station, a light appears next to it, but when it is not in use, it disappears completely. This technology has done Watsky rethought his entire kitchen design.
Wireless charging is built right into your kitchen counter.
A dishwasher that cleans reusable straws
Midea washing machine offers reusable lawn washers.
The most outstanding development we encountered was the Midea lawn washing station, which is included in its new washing machine that will be launched this year. Lawns are known to be difficult to clean, but this dedicated room in the bottom rack solves the problem by shooting water directly, removing dirt, mold and other accumulations.
Mini Opal nugget ice maker
We have seen five colors that the mini nugget ice maker will be available in.
We asked, and Opal listened. Now there’s a compact nugget ice machine on the horizon for those who don’t want to sacrifice too much counter space for a cold drink. GE Profile plans to release a smaller version of the beloved snow machine later in 2026, available in at least five colors.
Toto’s new self-cleaning toilet
The Aurora Washlet Plus bidet toilet uses innovative flushing technology to clean the entire bowl and rim in one flush.
Japanese toilet manufacturer Toto is trying to revolutionize the toilet — or at least the way we clean them. The Aurora Washlet Plus S7A One-Piece Toilet was presented at KBIS, with an integrated system that cleans the entire rim of the toilet with every flush. You can read more about the great features this bathroom has to offer here.
Large LG refrigerator and freezer
LG also had a large refrigerator and freezer on display, which was 36 inches in diameter.
Both have a ceiling light, a light on each shelf and an interactive LCD screen inside that uses AI. The refrigerator can also make two types of ice, regular and round.
The SKS Column Freezer and Column Freezer are coming soon, but they won’t be cheap. They cost $9,799 each. (That’s around £7,280 or AU$13,900.) Check them out below.
