Woman Suspected of Having Sex with Men, Drugging Them in ‘Serial Murder’

A woman who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting four men in Ohio during a sexual encounter has been arrested, according to authorities.
Rebecca Auborn36, was indicted in October 2023 in connection with a “serial homicide” that occurred in northeast Columbus in early 2023, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office said in a previous statement announcing the indictment.
Auburn is accused of meeting with men for sex and drugging them “in order to rob” them of their assets, according to the attorney general’s office.
It is suspected that he also drugged another man who survived what authorities described as an attempted overdose in 2022, authorities said.
In December 2025, Auborn pleaded guilty to four counts of murder and one count of assault with intent to injure five men, according to the attorney general’s office.
A judge sentenced Auborn to four consecutive terms of 15 years to life in prison on Thursday, February 19, the attorney general’s office announced in a statement.
“This sentence shows the defendant’s reckless disregard for life and callousness not only for killing, but for doing it repeatedly,” the Ohio Attorney General said. Dave Yost said the statement. “My heart goes out to the families who have lost a loved one – I pray that this measure of justice will bring them closure and peace.”
The four men who the authorities say will be killed by drugs in 2023 have been identified as 30 years old Joseph Crumpler54 years old Robert Snoke64 years old Wayne Akinand 42 years old Guy Rendain accordance with The Columbus Dispatch.
Relatives of these men were present at the trial, the newspaper reported.
In court, Crumpler’s brothers said they spoke to Auborn one day after he allegedly killed her. The Columbus Dispatch report.
“He swore on his daughter’s life and said he had nothing to do with it,” another brother said. Mark Crumpler said, according to the newspaper. “I hope at the end of the day hell will deny him the peace my brother still has.”
Auborn was represented by an attorney Mark Huntwho told the court that Auborn is a different person now, and that he had a difficult past that involved being trafficked and abused, the newspaper reported. Hunt also said that he has repeatedly taken these deadly drugs.
“If he didn’t admit these things, you don’t get justice at all,” said Hunt, according to the newspaper. “It was his admission that he drugged these boys so that they would pass out and then stole their things. These boys would not have come to light otherwise but in the end it was the statements made by my client.”
Hunt did not return immediately Us Weekly’s request for comment on February 19.
Akin’s daughter detailed her grief over her father’s death in a victim impact statement shared with NBC News.
“Dear Rebecca, father wouldn’t hurt you,” Akin’s daughter, Christyn Akin-Crockettwrites, according to a news source. “He was unlike any man you would ever meet, he was kind, gentle, loving, no-nonsense and gentle.”
“No matter how much torture this has caused, I want you to know that I could not hate you and I never will,” said Akin’s daughter, according to NBC News.
