Mormon Wives’ Whitney Talks With Nick Viall, Wife Natalie Mom-Shame Drama

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Levitt broke his silence after the podcast hosts Nick Viall and a pregnant wife Natalie Joy they are accused of causing cancer.

“I didn’t listen to the whole episode,” Leavitt, 32, said The Cut Thursday, February 19, the scandalous episode “The Viall Files” podcast. “I was confused because I was like, ‘This sounds off. Is this because I keep saying no to your podcast?’ Appropriately, that crossed my mind.”

Leavitt explained why he initially chose not to speak.

“I didn’t want to answer because sometimes there is no best answer. But that idea to me is crazy,” he continued. “I would want my mother, my daughter, any woman, to go and fulfill her dreams. It seems like an obvious thing to me. I don’t need to state the obvious. And honestly, the internet has done it for them.”

The clarification comes after the couple recently discussed Leavitt’s plans to play Roxie Hart on Broadway. Chicago.

“I’m curious because, obviously, we had Taylor Frankie Paul as The Bachelorette, and she got a lot of criticism for leaving her kids and putting herself and her career first and finding love. I’m curious how Whitney handles both,” Joy, 26, who shares 2-year-old daughter River with Viall, 45, said on the December 3 podcast episode. “She just did Dancing With the Stars for three or four months. She has kids. schooled – maybe homeschooled. I don’t know. Moving to New York, that takes up a lot of her time.”

Viall revealed that Whitney, 32, has a husband Conner LevittSupport as he “works hard” when it comes to their three children: Sedona, 6, Liam, 4, and Billy, 15 months.

Joy shared that she and Viall, who are currently pregnant with twins, said, “Obviously we’re very busy and always on the go. But we realize that once he’s in school, our lives have to slow down a lot.”

After the teaser was shared on social media, Viall and Joy received criticism for not supporting Whitney’s decision to balance her career with motherhood. This happened after Viall’s difficult transition with Whitney. He previously revealed on his podcast that he made an attempt to include Whitney – only for the interview to not happen.

The two met again in the season 2 reunion, which was hosted by Viall and where things got even more complicated. Whitney said in the July special that she feels like Viall is constantly being taken out.

Viall, however, denied being too harsh as a host.

“We look forward to being fans of the show. So, as a host, I’ve tried to strike a balance between hosting openly and being objective,” he explained on the “Viall Files” podcast. “I was also making sure that everything was fixed.

The former Bachelorette contestant wasn’t prepared for Whitney’s claims that he did it for her.

“I was surprised when Whitney didn’t like my asking questions,” he said. “When it comes to the last two seasons, I think that Whitney can’t answer for herself is something that I wanted to have the opportunity to talk to her about.”

Viall continued: “Whitney is one of my favorite actresses — besides Taylor, [she] he may be one of those irreplaceable actors. He is one of my favorites.”

While Whitney hasn’t spoken directly about Niall’s latest podcast, her husband did share some thoughts.

“Working as a team looks different for everyone,” Conner wrote on his December 4 TikTok with his kids. “This is how we make ours ❤️ we couldn’t be more proud of @Whitney Leavitt.”
