TMZ Will Stop Revealing Nancy Guthrie Informant’s Notes

Founder of TMZ Harvey Levin he said the store no longer publicly displays new notes from someone who claims to have information about him Nancy Guthrie‘s alleged kidnapping.
In recent weeks, TMZ reported receiving four notes asking for one Bitcoin (worth about $68,000) from a curious person willing to share the identity of the person who allegedly took Nancy, 84. The latest note was found on Monday, February 16.
On Tuesday, February 17, an interview on Fox News’ HannityLevin, 75, explained why TMZ could no longer share whether it had heard from the alleged bouncer.
“Regarding the person who wrote the note, we have decided not to say if he has sent us other letters,” said Levin. “If we say we received the letter today, tomorrow you ask me, I say we received the letter tomorrow, and then the next day we say we will not talk about it,” suggests the kidnapper. In fact, we say, ‘Well, this is the day he gave us the information.'”
Levin continued, “We’re not going to say anything. He can, if he wants to, give us the information, and as we promised, we’ll turn it over to the FBI. Then there will be a record that provides that information.”
On Monday, TMZ reported that it received a fourth note from a mysterious sender, who said, “I know what I saw 5 days ago south of the border and I was told to shut up so I know who you are and who Nancy was with.”

This person did not reveal himself publicly because of the crime he was charged with burglary, said the source.
TMZ shared a public request with the man, encouraging him to share the information he has, writing, “We will pass the information on to the FBI immediately. If it leads to finding Nancy and/or the kidnappers, you will have a clear record that you are responsible, thereby ensuring that you will receive a reward. The FBI knows we are doing this dispersal.”
On Tuesday Hannity appearance, Levin also said that his book has been in regular contact with the FBI as the investigation into Nancy’s disappearance continues into its third week.

The TMZ founder told Fox Sean Hannity that the FBI was contacting the store not only about notes from someone claiming to have information about Nancy’s kidnapper but also about an unconfirmed ransom note the store received in early February.
TMZ and local outlets in Tucson, Arizona, KOLD and KGUN reported that they received ransom notes demanding millions of dollars for Nancy’s safe return in the days after she disappeared on February 1. Neither the FBI nor the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have confirmed the authenticity of the alleged ransom notes.
“I will tell you, the FBI is very interested in both the ransom note and these search letters, especially today,” Levin said Tuesday. “There was a lot of communication between us and the FBI. They are interested in this.”
