Disney Hits $1B WW, ‘Goat’ $48M, ‘Crime 101’ $30M Bow

A weekend with the biggest worldwide opening of 2026 via Warner Bros/MRC’s Accommodations in Wuthering Heights ($82M), Sony A goat ($47.6M) and Amazon MGM Studio’s Crime 101 ($29.8M), Disney announced that they were the first animation studio to cross over $1 billion at the global BO in 2026, just seven weeks into the year. Warner Bros. is determined to find out Accommodations in Wuthering Heights to an $80M-plus opening, and that could change with a 4-day low domestic (mid-$30M) and better international (north of $42M). Before the New Year, China has not let go Zootopia 2 where it is still the No. 1 MPA weekend with an estimated $4.5M cume of $646.3M, as well as Japan where Animals still leads BO among US fare. Leading the way on Valentine’s Day in the Middle Kingdom was the Phillip Yung directed rom-com Love Go Go Go! for $4.86M and another $500K on Sunday for a $5.4M weekend.
