Martha Stewart Reveals Exactly What She Does to Look and Feel Her Greatest

A popular celebrity chef is ushered into her next season with a special contact. Us Weekly. One of his luxuries, he explains, is having a chauffeur drive him between Manhattan and his prestigious estate in Bedford, New York.

His driver’s vision becomes clear when he is brought back inside quickly at the beginning of our interview, when Stewart remembers that he left without taking his vitamins.

Stewart knows more than most about expanding relationships, sharing many of his life-tested tips in the 101 books he’s written over his 40+ year career in entertainment. Before giving advice on nutrition, she worked as a model and worked as a stockbroker. Simple cooking activities in the 70s led to the release of his first cookbook in 1982, which has recently been reissued. It’s excitingwhich launched him on the path to becoming a TV chef turned magazine editor turned reality host turned houseware designer turned wine maker turned CBD gummy purveyor.

And of course, that’s not even part of it.

At one point, Stewart connected with Lee Schragerwho founded the South Beach Wine & Food Festival 25 years ago, and their collaborative friendship permeated Martha’s raising many of those same festivals with her presence. That relationship continues to this day, and on Saturday, February 21, the lifestyle expert will be having lunch at Joe’s Stone Crab.

“Food is more egalitarian, and interest in food is more widespread than it was 25 years ago,” Stewart said. Us only when you think about how food culture has evolved.

The public’s appetite for food – and for Stewart – has grown exponentially over the past quarter century. Is there a more marketable, more in-demand octogenarian in our country? Stewart has the luxury of working with partners he actually believes in, and he’s had a great time doing it. When he explains how impactful and informative the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival is, he lets you know that Miami is “a lot of fun” — but that doesn’t mean he has much time these days.

“I care about everything more than I used to,” Stewart said with a laugh. “I’m very surprised by the detail, I’m very surprised by the taste and I’m very surprised that things are done as well as possible.”

Stewart often finds herself baffled by TikTok creators in faraway lands, who apply clever cooking hacks to complex dishes without “sacrificing quality or substance for the sake of it.” He needs all the extra time he can get because of his admittedly insane schedule. A friend and former employee, Louise Felix, it was revealed in CNN’s 2024 press release that when Stewart started his cooking business in the 70s, “he was someone who could work on three hours of sleep.”

Amazingly, that hasn’t changed. Stewart reveals that he still sleeps three to four hours a night. He explains that he doesn’t sleep well, but he knows he needs rest to sleep to do research and read or watch videos, the latest TV series and movies. Stewart admits that from a medical professional’s perspective this may not be the best for the individual, but adds that he can get an extra hour of sleep in the car during his commute.

With this little sleep, we’re confused as to how anyone can look as good as Stewart in her pouty mouth selfies, and she happily explained her nightly routine. Us.

“The most important thing you do is to clean your face thoroughly before applying your serum and night cream,” he says. “I use very mild camellia oil or there are a few companies that make nice oils, like Tatcha. I put that all over my face, because I usually put on makeup during the day to look on TV or for a photo shoot, so I put on mascara and everything, and all that is removed with oil and a very warm, wet face cloth. Then I put a cold cloth on my face, then I put a serum on my face, I put an icy cold. well… the directions say about a pea sized dollop of our Elm Biosciences Night Cream, maybe 3 pea sizes [laughs] of night cream all over my face and neck and décolleté.”

Stewart insists that this night cream is transformative, helping the texture, firmness and general “beauty” of the skin. He lists several men who claim to be working magic which I take to be a low key technique.

Stewart also says that he gets a face every three weeks from Mario Badescu, who has been visiting him for the past 45 years.

Stewart does Reformer Pilates every day with a private instructor at 6:30 AM She meets with her trainer Shawn every morning she does Pilates at her studio, where they do a “good heavy workout with weights” that is challenging but appealing to her.

Stewart’s longtime massage therapist has sadly moved to Michigan, so she’s now forced to make the trip to Mount Kisco once or twice a week for hour-long massages at a place that offers foot, leg, back and body work.

Stewart also insists that he eats very well. “I don’t eat junk food,” she says. “Someone gave a hungry Stewart a bag of potatoes while working at QVC the day before our interview, he told her.” Us he did not impress her “at all.”

“I’m not that kind of patient. I like good, sweet food,” she said. If fans doubted Stewart’s hatred of junk food, she shared everything she ate for dinner last night after someone had the nerve to offer the doyenne chips.

“I ate a can of very tasty sardines and a half of fresh mozzarella,” she said. “I ate an endive salad with a fresh dressing I made, watermelon and whole pomegranate seeds. I love pomegranates and I eat one a day.”

If fans want to eat like a lifestyle goddess, she’ll be serving up more than pomegranate seeds and zero potato chips when she opens her second restaurant, Bedford, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in March. The first location in Las Vegas offers dishes “inspired by Martha’s personal recipes and fresh garden philosophy” and the new location will do the same, but in Connecticut.

Although no one has ever made a living like Stewart, many have tried. And on the other hand, the former TV host does not want to know about anyone following in his footsteps.

“I don’t know what they are doing,” she replies when asked about the many female celebrity chefs who are following in her footsteps. “We keep focusing on what we have to do. There is still a lot to put together, there are many projects to finish and new projects to start. That’s what I’m focusing on, not focusing on who’s doing it. But we wish you luck.”
