To be clear, the actual hotel wasn’t bad—in fact, I liked it in theory—but the place didn’t have a basic identity or charm. Just 188 keys, the Cromwell was renovated and relaunched in 2014 with an understated British theme, a small footprint designed to appeal to guests who are frustrated with (or don’t like) the larger, towering resorts. The opportunity to stay across the street from Caesars Palace, but return to a hotel with less than 200 rooms at the end of a long night, is a great option, and this resort was a boon for a certain type of traveler. Ten years later, it’s been redone again, done in soft silver, gold, pink and lavender—and a great chance to see Lisa in the building.
With a killer location and a team that already knows Vegas inside and out, this property will go even better than Schwartz & Sandy’s. This is a hotel built for fans of Vanderpump Rules and the Bravo universe in general, so those with no interest at all—or who completely avoid—the world of reality TV probably won’t be particularly happy here, even if the slightest trace is appealing. It’s not a traditional luxury hotel, with rates under $300 per night on average (for now, that is). At the same time, there is a lack of privacy that comes with the place’s—and its owner’s—fame; likewise, one side of the lobby opens directly onto the Strip, and that proximity can make rooms higher.

As for the rooms, they are standard in addition to the signature color palette, with a large glass and tile shower decorated with platitudes as a unique feature: “Bless those who curse you,” “c’est la vie,” etc. The small bar and snacks are stocked with Vanderpump products, with the occasional nod to Britain (a short English room is available in some cookies available from Giada) for hours. I was also grateful for how soft the towels were, and that the one size fits all was true.
