Christian McCaffrey, Olivia Culpo, NFL stars star in fashion show

SAN FRANCISCO – Used to acting on the football field, Christian McCaffrey wowed in a very different place on Saturday – a fashion show.
The 49ers running back and his wife, Olivia Culpo, attended an Abercrombie show of some of his clothes during the Super Bowl week show, and the two weren’t the only celebrities to show off their stuff on the makeshift runway.
CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tee Higgins, Cooper DeJean and several others dressed in stylish clothes and walked.
The event’s audience was star-studded – NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had a front row seat.
DeAndre Hopkins, Jaxson Dart, Jordan Love and Trevor Lawrence were all there as well.
McCaffrey told the California Post at the event that fashion has recently become an important part of her life.

“It took me a little while to appreciate fashion and what it means,” says McCaffrey, who put on a big denim hit in the Abercrombie show.
“Over the past few years, I’ve learned to appreciate fashion and style in many different ways. It’s one of the best ways to express yourself without saying anything. So I appreciate being able to combine a good look with your energy.”
He went on to say that Culpo, a former Miss Universe, played a major role in changing his mind.
“A big role,” he said. “You taught me so much. You really made me enjoy and understand fashion to a degree I never knew.”
Higgins echoed McCaffrey’s comments, telling The Post that his style, recently, has shifted from flared pants and T-shirts to a more defined ‘fit.
“I never thought I’d be walking in a fashion show,” the Bengals wide receiver said. “A few years ago, some of my family were saying, ‘Man, you should try it.’ And we are here now.”
The boys all spent time talking to each other at the event, and while Higgins said he’d probably approve of Lamb as an NFL stylist, McCaffrey said he expects to focus more on the fashion world in the future.
“It’s so much fun,” she said. “It’s definitely something I’m very interested in.”
