Bridgerton Author Speaks Out About Reruns in Future Seasons

Bridgerton is a writer Julia Quinn broke his silence on concerns that potential changes in future seasons could involve the book’s key characters – and clues – being repeated.

“I really don’t know how they’re going to spin it or how they’re going to write it or what they’re going to keep and how they’re going to change it,” said Quinn during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly is based on her relationship with Spotify, teasing Eloise (Claudia Jessie) in the upcoming season of the hit Netflix series.

Quinn added that she was excited to see her novel To Sir Phillip, With Love live.

“I love her story,” he added of Eloise’s romance with Phillip (Chris Fulton). “She’s got two kids to contend with, which is great. The fact that Eloise is going to have an immediate family is amazing. Her twins don’t treat her badly so I hope she keeps things like that.”

When asked if Fulton – who appeared in seasons 1 and 2 – will reprise his role or if a new actor will be brought in, Quinn noted that he is not familiar with the show after some changes have been made.

Quinn also talked about the possibility of her younger sibling Hyacinth (Florence Hunt) and Gregory (Is Tilston) played by other actors when it’s their turn to be in the middle of their seasons.

“It’s funny because they were 12 and 13 when they started. If you ask me that at the time. [about the same actors playing them as adults]I’ll be like, ‘I don’t know.’ “But when I saw them again at the first party, they were both drinking wine,” said Quinn Us. “They are both 18 now and Will was there with his girlfriend.”

The author pointed out that it was a few years earlier In His Embrace again On the Road to Marriage their seasons will also be revealed.

“[Showrunner] Jess [Brownell] he said the next two seasons will be either Eloise then Francesca or Francesca then Eloise, which makes sense. It takes a few years to make a movie, so by the time we get to Hyacinth and Gregory, the characters will be in their late 20s,” Quinn explained. “So I think it’s probably going to be okay. Is it weird that we knew them when they were 12? We see child stars growing up all the time.”

He continued: “As a writer, it was hard to write those two books at first. I really had to let them grow a little bit in my mind and that was hard for both of them. I was really happy that it took several years—but still—I don’t remember how long it took to write. I really had to let them grow. It was hard.”

Quinn said fans have a lot to look forward to, adding, “With Gregory, there’s that Regency hero who doesn’t want to get married. I was like, ‘But here’s this guy who’s seen seven brothers and sisters fall in love, why would he think that?’ So his story is very different. He is desperate to fall in love. She is completely loving and very happy to be in love. He’s dating someone he shouldn’t have to begin with.”
