FBI Talks ‘New Message’ About Missing Savannah Guthrie’s Mother Nancy

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is sharing an update on its investigation Nancy Guthrie‘s to disappear.
“The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie,” Pima County Sheriff. Chris Nanos said the statement with X on Friday, February 6. “Detectives are actively checking the information provided in the message to determine its authenticity.”

FBI Special Agent Heath Janke confirmed earlier in a press conference that the FBI is aware of the alleged ransom note sent to news sites, noting that “any action taken on any ransom is ultimately decided by the family.” He also pointed out that the FBI arrested a “fraudster” trying to “profit” from the case with a different and fake ransom note.
Janke noted that the alleged ransom note had an initial deadline of 5 pm on February 5, the same time Camron posted his video. If that deadline is missed, the note offered Monday, February 9, as a second option.
