‘Knick fans can’t stay on the court’

Big Knicks fan Fat Joe may have to sit “All The Way Up” in the stands at Rocket Arena after the rapper said the Cavaliers “took away the tickets” he bought to sit courtside for Game 4.
Fat Joe appeared on ESPN’s “NBA Today” show live in Cleveland where he said, unannounced, that the Cavs took his tickets because they didn’t want Knicks fans sitting that close.
“We bought courtside tickets to the game and when they found out it was Fat Joe, they were like, I can’t sit on the court. New York Knick fans can’t sit on the court,” he said on the show. “They took the tickets to court after we bought them, so shame on you all.”
In fact, Fat Joe wasn’t the only Knicks fan who seemed to have their tickets canceled.
At least 10 other Knicks fans with courtside seats were called by Cavaliers officials and told they no longer had seats, a league source told The Post.
After those fans were told they no longer had courtside seats, the Cavs moved them to a higher level inside the stadium for Game 4.
In a post on social media, podcast host and entrepreneur Jason Calacanis said the Cavaliers “prevented me from buying” courtside seats.
He also said Cavs owner Dan Gilbert had ticket holders with courtroom seats sign DocuSign that they would not resell their tickets or “face a lifetime ban” from the team.
The Cavaliers gave their side of the story when they were approached about the situation with Fat Joe.
“Playoff court seats are governed by a specific agreement that prohibits the resale or transfer of tickets without permission,” a Cavaliers spokesperson told The Post. “All court ticket holders must abide by the terms of the one-game playoff agreement.”
Although not on the court, a handful of Knicks fans were in attendance for Game 4.
Spike Lee and Timothée Chalamet posted on social media in Cleveland hours before the game and Fat Joe was seen inside the stadium.
Pop icon Taylor Swift and her fiancé, along with Cleveland native Travis Kelce, sat courtside during Game 3.
Teams have tried to keep Knicks fans out of their stadiums during the offseason, and the Sixers have notably tried to prevent visiting fans from invading the City of Brotherly Love by limiting ticket sales to those who live in the greater Philadelphia area.
The effort went down as Knicks fans took over the Xfinity Mobile Arena during two games in Philly.
Those shows also featured appearances by Lee, Chalamet, Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan.

Fat Joe, a Bronx native, has a long history of Knicks fandom and has been at Madison Square Garden in abundance during the team’s play-off games this season.
During an appearance on ESPN, he told the panel his reason for going to Cleveland was “so we can get it done tonight.”
The Knicks are on the verge of making their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999.
