Caleb Shomo’s partner Beartooth shows support after coming out as gay during 14-year marriage

Beartooth bassist Oshie Bichar has shown his support for his partner Caleb Shomo after the latter came out as gay to his wife, Fleur Shomo.
The singer took to her Instagram Stories page on Saturday to re-share Caleb’s lengthy statement along with a reading heart emoji.
“There has been a lot of speculation about my personal life as of late and I feel compelled to set the record straight before it affects those I love,” Caleb wrote.
“I am a proud gay man. This is something I have been unpacking and thinking about in my life for a long time,” he continued.
The singer, 33, revealed that he felt “ashamed” for trying to suppress his feelings, admitting that he “spent a decade burying his feelings with alcohol.”
“To be honest, when I decided to put it down and focus on exploring why I felt this way for so long, it was a direct way for me to come to terms with my sexuality in the hope that it would eventually lead me to love myself,” continued Caleb.
The “I was alive” producer said that he is now “finally proud” of who he is and expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him.
Caleb’s wife, Fleur, whom he married in 2012, wrote a tribute to her partner on Instagram on Saturday, admitting that the past few months have been “awkward” and “painful” for them.
“But I will always want to love, protect and support Caleb,” she added. “I’ve cared more about his health over the years than anything else in the world.”
“I’m the only person who has to deal with the duality of this situation. Supporting him when he lost everything was very difficult to understand,” continued Fleur, explaining that at the same time she helped her husband when he also lost himself.
Additionally, Fleur described her 14 years of marriage to Caleb as “beautiful and full of fun, adventure and love.”
“I already miss you and my husband more than anything else,” she concluded. “Our story was good. And now it’s over.”
