Matt Lauria Talks About Possible Kingdom Reunion Plans

“I met Byron Balasco, who is now part of the CBS and Paramount family because he was writing on one of the NCIS shows,” Lauria said. The trio wants to “come up with ideas” and “get the band back together” to “see if we can finish the eight-episode run,” Grillo teased. “We actually talked about that.”

For now, Lauria is happy to continue filming Sheriff’s Country where he plays the beloved Boone.

“Boone embraces Edgewater for all it is,” he said. “That was an important journey for Boone, and I think that’s also what allowed him to explore inside and deal with his feelings for Mickey. Because normally, that would be a hard line for him not to cross.”

He continued: “However, there is a human side to all of this. It is important because he often saw Mickey interacting with people and it was fruitful.

Lauria hopes the audience will learn more about Boone in season 2, saying, “He kept a lot of things close to the vest — including a secret wife. I’d like to get into more about who this guy is.”
