Chris Brown Responds To Pitchforks 1.3 Rating For ‘BROWN’ Album

A fork and its chief author, Alphonse Pierrewas hot on Team Breezy on Tuesday (May 12) following the ‘BROWN’ album review. Pierre gave the project a score of 1.3, calling it “a real piece of sh*t.” Although he didn’t face a viral backlash in the review, Chris Brown let him break his silence! TankTeam Breezy made it all the way, and also threw shade at Pitchfork.

What Alphonse Pierre Said About ‘BROWN’ With Pitchfork?
The question really should be … what did he NOT say?! Alphonse Pierre did not hold back, he chose to analyze Chris’ entire history in the music industry rather than the album ‘BROWN.’ From Rihanna’s beating in 2009 to Chris Brown’s efforts to save society since then, it’s all there. More than 2,000 words trashed ‘BROWN’ less than a week after it was released on May 8. The summary line alone, which opens the Pitchfork article, says HAM. It reads, “Chris Brown’s soulless, chart-topping new album doesn’t justify his return to society.”
In the transcript, Pierre said Brown put himself in his position “a victim of the media who are conspiring against him.” At the same time, Pierre says that the singer uses his fans “longing for her youthful innocence” and his own “cool…backflips” to convince them of it “his version of history.” The senior author insisted that Chris use this “Rihanna’s Beat” to “Give his music an emotional weight it didn’t have before the scene.” That’s been the case with all his music since 2009, including ‘BROWN,’ Pierre argues. Being a Chris Brown fan turned into rooting “for a talented black man to succeed, regardless of the truth.”
Alphonse Pierre wrote: Adding, “All the top-grossing albums and Billboard hits since then have been tainted by that context. None more so than BROWN, which isn’t romantic or funny or catchy or soulful or danceable or fun or dangerous or honest or creative or inspired. It’s soulless, music that’s too rushed to achieve anything in Brown’s culture.”
All that said while it’s also the first time Pitchfork has reviewed an artist’s music in at least 6-7 years? He skipped at least three projects to come to the conclusion that “Not every music legend deserves to be a martyr.” Those are the facts The Breezy team is holding on and screaming! Meanwhile, Pitchfork was radio silent, while continuing to promote the article on X with captions like, “This album is a real riot,” again “Soulless music, chasing too much without doing anything.”
Alphonse Pierre also has not stood up to defend the words he wrote. On X, he pushed it along with the caption, “I’ve been long over 20 years of Chris Brown and his new album, ‘Brown.’
Chris Brown Applauds Review With This Power
Before Tuesday was over, Chris Brown broke his silence on what Pierre had to say. And if anyone was expecting a sad message from Breezy? Don’t do it. “Not that,” that’s what the singer said.
“We’re kicking *god. We don’t agree, I put my foot on their neck and we ain’t stopping,” Chris Brown said, talking about his upcoming R&B tour with Usher and other secret projects. “I can’t hear what these people are talking about. I know exactly who my fans are and I know exactly who listens to this album. If you’re not my fan, I don’t want you to listen to my words.”
She’s got a lot of credit for suggesting that her fans should listen to someone like Zara Larsson, a Swedish R&B singer and songwriter.
Tank Looks Shades Pitchfork As Internet Reacts To Pierre’s Review
Like Chris Brown, Tank had the same power in Pitchfork and his ‘BROWN’ update. On X, he responded to a tweet asking if he had apologized for being published with a 1.3 rating. Tank replied, “Get out who?..” adding laughing emojis.
Fans have been waiting for him to come out, as last week he defended Chris after a social media user said Breezy needed to be challenged, saying. “CB is a genius in music if you really follow the music.
