Dave Portnoy Criticizes Alix Earle For Alex Cooper Drama

Dave Portnoy he is not happy about how Alix Earle he was managing his ongoing drama Alex Cooper.
After Earle, 25, avoided answering questions about her feud with Cooper, 31, during an appearance on the Tuesday, May 12, episode of the show. Today show, Portnoy, 49, took to social media to blast the promoter for not addressing the issues directly.
“I find all the girls like Alix Earle. If you go on TikTok or on the Internet, if you are in the world of girls, as some of my feeds are like this, it sounds like 95-5 Alix and I. She is a girl; they like her, they like to follow her, Alex Cooper is a businessman, all these pieces are related to her. I started by liking girls in two parts,” said Seanoy. “I think it’s the way Alix Earle handled this dog.”
The owner of Barstool Sports noted that Earle has been “photographic” at Cooper “relentlessly” online — Earle has also posted various videos criticizing Cooper in recent months — and, despite promises to the contrary, refused to explain why they disagreed.
“Finally, Cooper is like, ‘Enough of this, enough of you being this little girl, if you have beef with me, say what it is.’ Alix Earle is like, ‘I’m here.’ I said maybe it’s thoughtful maybe it’s sarcastic maybe he’s not in it, but I’ll tell you this. “Maybe I’m old school – and I’m sure Alix has like 3000 people advising her and riding the team, like 40 PR people – but if you’re going to talk, and talk and shoot, you better answer that bell when someone calls,” Portray said.
He noted his approach to online beef, revealing that he doesn’t need a “group” or “text” and says this “with all his heart.”
“I’m not going to take these guns that cover someone else and then when someone says, ‘Okay, let’s go, let’s find out what it is,’ they just disappear,” he said, adding that he is now officially Team Cooper. “I still don’t know what really happened … but if you’re going to tweet, tweet, just answer the bell.”
Portnoy concluded his lengthy speech by noting that Earle had “plenty of time” to come forward but chose to “zip.”
“So you shouldn’t be taking pictures if you’re not ready to back it up. But they want everyone to be lucky and take a picture,” he added.

Portnoy captioned the video, “Know all the #teamalix girdies but I hate the way we handled this Alex Cooper controversy,” adding the hashtag “Tea by the Sea”.
Us Weekly has reached out to Earle’s team for comment.
Earle was the new promoter Sports Illustrated cover Tuesday morning where cohost Craig Melvin he asked about the “back and forth” between him and Cooper.
When asked what was “really going on” between them, Earle dodged the question, replying, “I’m trying to keep things nice today. We don’t have that much time here, to be honest. And, why ruin such a good day with something not so good?”
Melvin then went further, asking if there was an “official reunion” or if the drama was “exaggerated,” prompting Earle to reply, “No, it’s exaggerated. I like everybody.”
Earle and Cooper previously worked together when the former hosted his “Hot Mess” podcast under Cooper’s Unwell Network in 2023 and struck up a friendship. The podcast was dropped again in 2025, prompting speculation of trouble between the two. A source later told Us Weekly exclusively that “a rift” had developed between the women when they first started working together, noting that they had “caught up about business” and that their personal relationship had also suffered.
Earlier this year, Earle also posted a TikTok video accusing Cooper of being an “ambulance chaser” who interviewed people in their worst moments, prompting Cooper to address Earle directly.
“I’m really tired of waking up and seeing you use this fake drama to distract other people who use the internet because of you. I’m not interested. I know what happened and you know,” Cooper shared in April’s TikTok video. “So talk. Unless the fake narrative you create happens to be more interesting than the truth. I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me.”
Earle replied “Okay, go ahead!” at that time, but he is yet to speak publicly about the dispute. Cooper has yet to respond further after his first video.
